Hello:) amazing video! I have one question - because I am writing sort of cinematic music and I am a beginner - is it possible to do a final mix using only intuition and to listen a piece on diffrent headphones and monitors? Just to ballance particular instruments in my partiture by experimenting with dynamics?
Dude just watch this video. It was really great. Thank you for taking the time to post something really formative. But you have a moment for a quick question? I honestly just got a hold of the software moments ago. I was going to email the company, but it just occurred to me that the pros, such as yourself lol might have the answer? Just for example purposes. If I am mastering a track and load pro q on the master channel for adjusting parameters in stereo and the sides only. Do you know if the plug-in has to be loaded once for both of these areas of adjustments (stereo and sides?) Or might I have to load it twice? With the parameters made for stereo on one plug-in. And the second pro q plug-in added for the side parameters. Basically separating the plug-ins for the separate areas of adjustments. Thanks for your time man. Cheers
@@samsmyers thank the lord lol. I’ve used ozone 9 and apparently you need separate equalizers for the different fields in which you are adjusting parameters. Honestly this is amazing. Money well spent on Pro Q 3 Thanks for taking the time man. I appreciate you. Cheers!!!
This is an incredible tutorial. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in such an easy-to-understand way. I will certainly get more from this EQ because of what I learned here. Awesome!
2 awesome features you forgot: 1) click the little 'cog' icon next to the Q and it will slightly narrow the Q automatically as you boost, like an API EQ does. 2) The 'A' next to output volume auto-adjusts the output gain to be the same as you boost or cut frequencies. 👍
Just got my hand on the Q3, I needed a little tutorial to clear it up. You gave me exactly what i was looking for with a clear and calm voice! THANKS SAM !
This was very informative so I've upvoted. I checked your channel and have noticed you dont have thumbnails when you look: excited, amazed, scared, surprised, hit by a car, worried, angried, abducted by aliens, offended, speechless or just plain dumb so I've subscribed. With a bell ;)
Excellent video. Very informative. I've been using this plugin for a while and I never knew about some of these amazing features. It's not for nothing that it's so revered.
very worthy plugin and help video. I initially came here to see if there was a way to lock a point and drag it up or down with a scroll wheel. This is what FL users are used to if they use Parametric EQ 2. I have learned much from you. Thanks so much.
I have Pro-Q 3, Am I missing out on Pro-Q 2. I didn’t get Pro-Q 2 because I have the third Pro-Q, but now thinking if Pro-Q 2 has anything cool and unique that Pro-Q 3 doesn’t have. Of course the third one is way superior, but I haven’t been able to get a simple answer on if Pro-Q 2 would be worth to get even tho I have Pro-Q 3, or would it just literally be wasting money
What I don't understand about this plugin is the input and output and makeup gain. If we are only shown the output meter to the far right how do we know what the input is? Also, by adding gain how do we know if we cannot match it to the original input signal?
99/00 was sotNice tutorialng called Vision DSP or DST or sotNice tutorialng and didn't quite work the way soft soft does, but tNice tutorials video helped so
I'm only 2mins in so far but man do I wish you were using IOS.. im sure it's similar on a laptop but there's a few things I haven't fig out how to do yet an a couple things I'm not even sure what they do, when I do them lol so hoping this helps, thanks ahead of time😂
with it in a few weeks or months if I pour enough ti and effort into it. I'll be watcNice tutorialng many more of your videos for tips and inspiration.
Can you make a video on how to download it on windows (I bought but I have no clue on how to install it,I really appreciate it if you help a brother out)
Hey dude great video. I had a question maybe you might be able to answer if you have a moment. Let's say I have pro Q3 on snare track. And I am creating two dynamic bands that I am going to set up as a side chain to two different instruments within that 1 pro Q3 plug-in I have on that snare track.. I've noticed when I try to do this. And try to Side chain the two bands to two different instruments. They automatically default to the same one. Do you know if I have to have separate pro Q3 plug-ins on the snare track, one designated to the different instrument that I am going to side chain to? I thought I would be able to side chain multiple bands to any instrument for side chaining within the same one pro Q3 plug-in on the track. Hopefully I didn't confuse you. Anyway thanks again for posting such a great video
yea you can only have 1 sidechained instrument. So you would need to put 2 Pro-Q3s on your snare track with each one sidechained to a different instrument.
Remarkable. I bought this plugin a couple of days ago and have been flummoxing and floundering around - being totally amazed but almost totally lost at the same time. Though realising that Pro-Q•3 is head and shoulders above Logic Pro X's pretty good - but basic EQs. Now, thanks to you sir, I am even more amazed at what this thing can do. I suspect that FabFilter has increased the intelligence level of the human race through the implementation of some highly intelligent and creative R&D. Wouldn't that be good.
Was looking for more on "EQ match" and how to maybe tune your speakers to your room using Pro EQ- How to EQ match The left side of the plug-in and the right side of the plug-in separately based off of recorded pink noise coming out of your left and right speakers individually.
I do a lot of experimental sound design and this could be just what I need to clear the muddy waters. Would there ever be a need to use this on 2 identical loops
