I have a “practical” wine glass collection. I get 1 maybe 2 unique glass. When friends come over we each pick one, and we all know which glass is ours throughout the get together.
The travel mirror once charged should light up. It gives you "nautral, outside type light." I love mine when traveling because I can't always get time in the bathroom mirror to get ready. I have 2 boys and a hubby. I do leave mine in the box for traveling to ensure it doesn't get broken. I've seen others just pack theirs without the box, though.
Samantha, the Swedish dish cloths are LIFE CHANGING!!!! They replace any and all sponges in our kitchen. We use them for washing dishes and, once rung out, they are perfect for wiping countertops. They do not start to smell like sponges do and I actually wash them in the laundry and lay them out to dry. I have accidentally dried them in the dryer before and they still are usable. In addition, I have used them WAY more than 20x each. They last forever! I’m telling you, they will change your life. 😂
We get Swedish dishcloths from Grove. They’re like thick Handiwipes and are great for cleaning bathrooms, etc. They can be laundered multiple times and then tossed!
I really love Swedish dish cloths. I use them to wipe down my counters. They are very soft when wet. The ridges make them good scrubbers. After use, I loop over the divider on my kitchen sink. I toss them in the dish washer about every 5 days. I made the mistake of putting them in the clothes washer and that messes them up. I’ve found they last much longer than 20 uses. I probably use one for about 2 months. Then I toss and use a new one. You don’t rotate them in and out like regular towels. It’s more like a use up until it’s gross, like a sponge.
It's a "light-up" travel mirror. Meaning you could use it to do your makeup in a hotel or anywhere because it lights up. Hotel mirrors are crap for doing makeup. Does it also have magnification? I have a travel mirror that lives in my suitcase. That one is great because it's flat and you can use it at the desk or table if you travel with another person. I used to be on the road 3 weeks out of every month. Being only 5 feet tall, I can't get close enough to a mirror in a hotel bathroom without climbing onto the sink. The cotton Swedish dishcloths are awesome. Very economical and efficient. Super clean too because you can just wash them.
You can also use it as an extra light for a zoom call or photo, just a small fill light might help against ugly shadows. I used to do food photography and use little mirrors to bounce light onto the product and give it an extra effect light. So it might also be handy for your product photography (small items, close ups).
I always travel with a travel make up mirror. This way, I can sit at the hotel desk and apply my makeup while it’s my hubby’s turn in the shower. Can’t put my make up on when hubby has the bathroom mirror all steamed up… not to mention what that steam would do to my just-styled hair! Make up mirror is a must for me. The travel pillow case is for the pillow in your hotel room or cruise cabin … extra layer of protection when you think that right under the hotel pillowcase is the pillow itself that has probably absorbed sweat and drool from previous users. Gross, so this adds a fresh layer of clean protection 😊
The swedish dish cloths are where it's at. They lose their shape a little when you wash them (in the washing machine; I havent put them in the dishwasher) but they're super absorbent, perfect for washing dishes and dont get that funky smell when they're wet. Plus they can completely replace paper towels. Dont sleep on those! Give them a try
I love Swedish dishcloths. Think halfway between a dish cloth and paper towel. Once they are wet they are soft. Great for cleaning up countertops. They go in your washer and drier. I think they say after 20 washes they may break down but I haven’t experienced that yet
Hi Samantha! I have used Swedish dish cloths for years and love them. We use them in place of dishcloths and paper towels to wipe counters and sinks. They wash and wear amazingly well - don't put in the dryer! When/if they wear out or get holes, they can go in the compost.
I totally have a gift box to grab things from as I need them. I also have boxes for specific people and buy birthday and Christmas gifts as I find them during the year.
A lot of European bathrooms have very limited counter/shelf space, so the mirror would allow makeup etc. on the room table or dresser. It depends on where you are traveling!
I wasn’t very happy with the choices from the sneak peek came out, so I just converted my box to cash and put together my own fall box. I got four items instead of six, but it was stuff I really wanted and it was all treat me things. Can’t wait for my box.! I’m an annual member and always think it’s worth it
Travel mirrors are great for those of us with bad vision. I can see up close for tweezing or eyeliner. And lighting in some areas of hotel rooms can be really awful
I love travel mirrors like that - I cannot see 2 feet in front of me when I have my glasses off and most hotels don't have great light in the mirrors I can get close enough to see in that are outside of the bathroom (I'm short so leaning into a mirror over the hotel sink does not work for me)!
I love Swedish dishcloths! I use them instead of paper towels to wipe off the stove, countertop, etc. Wash them with my kitchen towels, and they are ready to use again. So handy!
I use the Swedish dishcloths for anything I'd use a paper towel for. I wash them in the dishwasher or washing machine. No dryer. I have the same set of three for 3-4 years now and they're still going strong.
Ok. I use vitamin c serum from Sunday Riley on my face. I had a dark spot that would darken in the sun very high on my cheekbone. Now that you mention it I have not seen mine this year at all and I began using the serum/face oil in early spring. I use both night routine and morning. Fabulous stuff!
It’s funny when you were talking about the mirror I’m whispering, your daughter. Lol. Fun items. I have some of the Swedish towels and haven’t tried them yet.
You have to wet the Swedish dishcloths before you use them. Then you will see how their lovely sponginess can be useful for many tasks. I use them often and keep a distinct set for my bathroom cleaning.
I like the Tula instant facial but for the price I'm paying I can find alternatives where my money goes farther including real chemistry, wander beauty instant facial, Paula's choice daily liquid exfoliant.
@@Thepinkenvelope yep I didn’t check once either and well, that was a serious mistake!!! I enjoyed your box! Loved the wine glasses! Do they have a nice weight to them?
@@rubiejones1897 oh I’m so glad that comment helped you! I was remiss in checking once…. Let’s just say, never again!! Enjoy your box and this lovely new day!💕
I used Swedish dishcloths for a long time. They're great for wiping countertops. But I did start questioning the eco credentials because I thought it might actually be better to buy longer lasting cotton cloths rather than having to keep on replacing the Swedish kind. Having said that, I then found it difficult to find pure cotton dishcloths that don't contain plastic so I might go back to getting the Swedish ones again!
Is there a light on the mirror? Lighting is not great in hotel rooms usually and if others are using the bathroom you can use it at the desk. ALSO, we use a mirror similar to this (but a bit larger) at my kids dance competitions in the dressing rooms regularly. Dressing rooms can be anything from a school cafeteria to a ballroom at a convention center, lol.
My mom panics if she doesn’t have her mirror when she travels. She has to sit at a desk or table to do her hair and makeup so the bathroom mirrors don’t work for her.
Travel mirror with a light?! I use all the time. I go places where the lighting is horrrrrrible and the light from the travel mirror comes in handy in that situation or when sharing a bathroom with a lot of people and you need to do your makeup elsewhere.
Lol I have no idea about those towels in the box but I can’t use anything microfiber because it doesn’t absorb anything in my experience. I try to dry my body and I’m still soaked. I try to dry liquid spills and it just moves the liquid around. Microfiber also feels awful to my texture sensitive skin. I have to use the regular old fashioned towels. Lol I guess I just don’t know the how to?
Do you use it in a hotel room because half the time the mirror is so far away from the damn sink you can't see when you don't have glasses on also they don't have adequate lighting in hotel rooms. Most of the time they don't even have a long mirror. I bet you most people who travel and wear makeup use a light up mirror I don't travel that often and I have to have one or I can't even travel because I can't do anything.
Great video! I love love love the Swedish dish cloths. I can't stand to touch a dish rag that's wet and musty. Once wet these are a cross between a dish rag and a sponge. They are they best thing I've ever used to wipe down counters and dust with. Then I lay them ontop of the clean dishes and it dries completely by tomorrow. I throw them in the dishwasher every couple days and then wash in the washer about once a month (no fabric softener) and hang to dry. I highly recommend
