thanks for the likes guys. LOL Fabio was the man! Truly beleive the guy is an amazing actor and played the part super well. I think he basically just exaggerated the socal surfer dude vibe and stuck with it. Fabio seems like a somewhat intelligent guy and yeah he definetely is self aware. like he knows hes being made fun of and people think he was dumb, but thats how he tricked everyone! freaking genius!!
I’ll never forget after the finale he was arrested for “skateboarding under the influence” and then subsequently picked up from jail In a white limo the next day. Fabio will live forever
i heard that him and nay were actually good friends its js we didnt get to see that and nay actually did vote for him at ftc and u can see that nay isnt bothered at all so idrk
I’ve literally never watched this show lmao so maybe I’m not one to talk but yeah her lil shoulder shimmy after he was getting ready to defend seemed more playful than annoyed
His commentary on knowing his own vibes, other people's reception and imbalances was extremely insightful. He's actually one of the smartest guys to ever play the game
Plot Twist: Fabio is a pure genius and faked being stupid and being funny so that everyone would underestimate him and not see him as a threat and that's how he won.
"Fabio" litterely is just 10 times smarter than everyon else there. He peed in the pool so the wouldn't want to jump in, he pretty much own everybody in any game and vibin
The way he started talking about destabilizing the government in the live show and then they didn’t let him talk again... lmao I’d like to know what the dudes up to now
She gave him the deciding vote to win a million dollars, I am sure he can buy whatever many socks. The other guy sitting next to him had a lot of friends that would give him the vote including Naonka (She was friends with Chase), yet not only did she vote for him, she asked an amazing question that showcased how hard Fabio worked.
@@roshiadlasun5330 You are an idiot and a follower. What does Naonka have to do with all black females. Do you know how many CRAZY white females they had on the show?.
Fabio acted dumb and harmless. He in the end walked away with millions of dollars winning the game from unanimous support and not causing suspicion of rebel from everyone.
That is actually really risky because when you get to the final 8 as the funny non-threat guy or something, everyone will be voting you out. Unless you win all immunities, which is very unlikely to happen.
Never24Summer They were actually good friends on the show, it was editted to just show the worst moments between them, except at final council when they really couldn't edit it out.
@@paintbrush3753 No I think Natalie White from Samoa takes that prize. Russell Hantz carried her throughout the game and the only reason she won was because the jury was pissed at him.
Californians have an average IQ of 95, and a lot of the young people act incredibly stereotypical. You're not really wrong... (If we're talking about SoCal of course)
@@tg-no3yb only Fabio and you two I guess. You'd piss yourself. You'd just be swimming in your own piss. Others would be swimming in your piss. If you don't think that's absolutely disgusting then I fear for your personal hygiene
It's because someone compared John Paul Jones to Fabio, so since JPJ is blowing up RU-vid algorithm this is the equivalent of "if you like this, other titles you might enjoy.."
Fabio later said in an interview that this was all his strategy: to not appear as a threat while actually worming his way into every alliance and yet keeping a positive appearance to the Jury. He had brilliant Jury management.
Don't fool yourself by thinking he's an amazing player - he's lovable and naturally easygoing and fun to be around, but that's his only strength. He's lucky he wasn't on a season with any actually good players. His strategy was all over the place in regards to votes, alliances, and eliminations. He WOULD be a good returnee, though.
TheMurrmursonbottle he isn't that bad. I mean he is socially hilarious and I actually thought his jury management wasn't that bad. Is he the best winner ever? Definitely not. Was he the best in the season? In my opinion yes. I would like to see him comeback though, just to see if he has changed the way he is on his second chance from Nicaragua.
Jerry David well yes he is one of the bottom winners but if anyone is going to watch this season ill tell them not to go in with such high hopes of good players because I am guilty for that. I do think their couldn't have been a been a better person in that season to win. Could he have played better yes of course. He is not comparable to Rob, or Sandra, or Russell. If he played again im sure his whole gameplay would be different. He would be like Tyson, in his first season he played a little less seriously than his more recent season.
+Anonymous 1 Greg was funny but he referred to Colleen as a kitty and how she was easy to manipulate and get rid of. So that kind of turned me against him
Greg knew he was on a tv show, so he said those things just to kind of "play troll" in a way...his whole time being out there was just to troll everyone that was involved with making the show, and I think he talked to Colleen and got her in on it too. They voted for Jeff at one of the tribal councils and they had to shut filming down for a little bit because of how mad Jeff and everyone was. But yeah, he just said those things because he wanted to get a reaction from the people watching it, he played up the cameras before it was even a thing.
fabio- “when he said he’s a grandmaster in chess i mean it makes sense.” marty- *”i’m not actually a grandmaster in chess”* idk why but this part killed me😂
I think some people don't give Fabio enough credit, I mean he won 4 Individual Immunity challenges. ONE short of tying the record. That's an accomplishment that's still just as hard to reach.
0:58 is one of the most blatantly edited sound bites in the history of survivor 🤣 he’s clearly talking in like 4 different confessionals that they splice together
Same, it's not that people can change who they are. The only thing they can influence is their attitude which is worth a lot more than someone's intellect
@@cappzap becus nowadays ppl like to call another person that doesnt have the average normal personality as "dumb" so yea. The person could act dumb af but still be wise cus most "dumb" ppl dont take the smallest things so seriously for the right reasons and dont give a shit what others think of them, and thats a wise trait to have for anyone.
Some people just have brains that are wired differently. I have a mentally challenged cousin who cant take care of himself but he loves puzzles. He can solve any puzzle faster than anyone i know.
Also notice the difference in speech he uses after his win and before. I think the real reason he was so emotional when his mother came is because he started to lose himself in his act, started to feel doubt whether he was actually an idiot or not, but his mother's words assured him that he wasn't.
I still don't think people give Fabio enough credit. He is usually really low on the winner tiers that I see, but he was insanely smart to create this persona of a goofy, lovable himbo and then make it all the way to end with no enemies. Except Naonka I guess, but it was a genius strategy nonetheless that ultimately won him the million. I haven't seen another person do the same thing, successfully anyways. He also clutched those induvial immunity wins at the most crucial times where if he hadn't of won, they would have voted him out because he was a huge jury threat. This was controversial season, but it had a really awesome winner imo. Fun Fact: Naonka even ended up voting for him in Final Tribal lol.
He is one of my favorite winners ever. Maybe my favorite. People disregard him but his strategy and gameplay were both very risky and very rewarding. He was not in the numbers toward the end and he pulled of 4 straight immunity wins. Playing the jester is also risky as his tribe could easily see him as expendable the moment he did poorly in challenges (which he was pretty bad ad the defender position in that one challenge). I think he's a lot smarter than he lets on, even if he's a little bit gullible.
Monkey Boy bitch imagine having this kind of attitude w a dumbass username like that, don’t be mad bc nobody has ever referred to you as something that cute
It’s called a child like seduction type, people are more charmed by the young and foolish. So he assumed that role and it fit perfectly he knows how’s he’s behaving.
I find it really interesting how he gets more and more serious and mature as the game goes on. You can tell hes not just some dumb blonde but really strategical and smart. He deserved to win honestly.
@@thegraylink8269 What is this fucking obsession with writing "should of..." it's just wrong in every way. It's like people writing ect or saying "ecetera" when it so obviously is ET CETERA. Is it really that difficult to write "have" instead of "of"??????????
@@TheBlueSledge exactly you grammar nazi fucking chill no need to be a keyboardwarrior everytime you get a chance its a youtube comment and youre here telling people how their grammar isnt the best
I remember watching this season with my parents when I was 9 and I didn’t get any of this at all. Now I understand how great of a show this was and why Fabio was so iconic.
Nay is the type of person who thinks being rude is flirting. I just saw a video of a guy being rude to her then asking for her number. (He was a boy trolling as a girl but still)
what a fucking legend. i get why he wasn't brought back for winners at war, but the dude NEEDS to make another appearance on the next second chances season or something. such a likable, funny dude
Fabio is so refreshingly authentic. He reacts honestly and is even not afraid to show he's hurt by what people say. He also wasn't afraid to call out Shannon during tribal. Such a genuine dude.
Yeah I was noticing their bodies and how healthy they looked at the start and then their muscle mass and fat slowly decreases and I just felt sad. They were still fit but I’m amazed how they had energy for the physically demanding challenges
Fabio is definitely a goofball, but I definitely think he played it up. He's also not stupid, as we know he won multiple immunities, and won the game. Absentmindedness and sillyness does not equal lack of intelligence.
