This song was the shit when I was a kid, and it still is now, years later. Best song in the OST hands down

1:19 always gets me In the feels. Idk what it is but this game was my childhood and still is today wish I was a kid again

This song is so unique in its sound, if mystery, curiosity, and the vast unknown were a sound this would be it. Makes me think of getting lost in a happy dream you never wanna leave. Or tranquility/clarity.

Fable really did have a charm to it. That is hard to find in games nowadays.

For some reason I just unlocked the memory of loving this song as a kid playing this game. It is so peaceful and tranquil, and almost sad. Makes me so nostalgic for the times when I was playing these games as a kid in like 2008. And that time is gone now, only existing in my memory

Gives me huge chills. Sometimes I just hear this song out of nowhere. My mom used to play this and shed go somewhere and leave this song on for hours. It gives me a huge nostalgic feeling I cant put into words. it’s kinda like hearing my childhood memories in a song.

From a time I could repeat the same game over and over and never get bored, I could go around a world I felt was huge and get surprised with every little detail I see. I feel games have lost that spark they used to have when I was about 12, 16 years old. Or maybe I just grew up...

This game was a huge part of my childhood. Me and my older brother loved it at the time and he always told me I was scared of the balverines when I was little. I played this game all the time after school, had many laughs, fun memories, frustrations, and so much more. This also applies to Fable 3. The music, the graphics, the story, the lore and stories that are told and seen. Everything about this game was intricately designed to bring happiness. The funny jokes and dialogue, the fights, the cutscenes. Everything was perfect. Now I'm here, out of pure curiosity to listen to this song. The first few seconds struck a feeling in my chest that's indescribable. But now, I know what it is. An emotion I lost long ago. *Happiness.* A time when I was carefree, young, blissfully unaware of any consequences, y'know, before Covid, before any problems with the news and such, when games like Halo were popular. This song right here, is a masterpiece put in audio form. It's hard not to cry listening to this. I miss those days. And how (I think her name is) Theresa says "And so our story begins" each time I press enter, is something that will always be held dear to me. Thank you, for reading this.

Listening to this brings me back to a place relatively far but seemingly close at the same time ahhh my childhood I will forever cherish

Never had a piece of game music that has made me reflect on my own life... Hits in the feels rather hard to say the least

The magic of a good RPG is that even years later, you come back to listen to the music to feel "it". A good RPG is like a little Box that compresses your feelings while playing and experiencing the game so you can come back anytime and enjoy it again just to show it is not the past, you can have it anytime, just by playing this song. This song is great for combating stress. Not because it's soothing, because it's really more eerie than soothing. No, it's great for stress because it just snaps me back to a different time. It throws me back 12 years and has me sitting on my couch in my parents house while the title screen is loaded and that dark forest is panning across the screen. Nostalgia like that is powerful.

Every now and then this song pops into my head, and I'm so glad this version is available on RU-vid. I miss this game so much and I would have hoped it'd be on PC or something. Cause my 360 certainly has bitten the dust by now.

I appreciate the neutrality this song kinda gives me, it more gives you a sense of wonder about the universe of fable rather than picking a side in its morality system.

"And so our story begins" A child turns on his TV only to be united with this theme. Sitting in his bedroom he passes his controller to his sister to press play. The game wasn't just a game or a hobby. It was a fairytale filled with every child's imagination, every child's dream, and so they played. Fighting all the goblins and bandits on every path. Years would pass and the children no longer young would slowly start to forget about the imaginations they held. They begin to realise that the real world held the goblins. And to escape once again they go back to this theme to remember the fairytale that was once their escape from the world.

I love that this exist

isnt it weird, that growing up playing this game i remember wishing to grow up and be older and see what the future holds. And now after replaying the game many time, wishing that I could go back, experience this again, and experience young life again.

My DM used this as the theme for one of the main deities in our campaign and it always fills me with the same sense of pain and nostalgia it always has.
