Fable III is Still Gold

It's a game that will always bring tears to my eye because it has my grandpa's last save game on it. He passed away. He really liked the Fable series, as do I.

I literally just replayed this game and finished it yesterday. Was it as good as the first two? No. But it's still a comfort food game.

Fable really was a magical game. Not often that I am genuinely sad for the death of a character in game, but this game hit me bad

This game was my first and only fable I ever played. And I love it. At least in memory still. I get a lot of people played all 3 and look down on 3 a bit but it was pretty dope for one of the very first RPGs I’ve ever played. I wish I could play it on PlayStation. And I cannot believe the the voice actors that were behind this game. Absolutely absurd.

Fable 2 I cheated on my wife with the neighbor. Then I divorced her with no dowry and gave it all to my sidebang. I also disowned my kids. I love Fable 2.

Most people live and die by Fable II but I'm definitely interested to see what you have to say about Fable III. Might download it again after watching this video. Just to replay the series again, good or bad. At least 3 ain't the spin-off games, guys.

I don't care what anyone says, I absolutely loved Fable 3 and definitely got my money's worth. Is it the best game I've ever played? Obviously not, but that's not the point. It's entertaining as heck and very engaging, it's hilarious to boot. I have such a soft spot in my heart for these games and the 3rd one is definitely my favorite. I think people get too hung up on comparing games to each other and forget to have fun. 🎉

Fable 3 was by far my favorite Fable. I love all of them but Fable 3 hit different.

One thing I've always loved is seeing how Albion has changed over the years in each game. That's something I'm really hoping Fable 4 gets right. I personally hope it takes place 200-300 years after Fable 3(but in a timeline where the Monarch didn't prepare for the darkness and Albion got wiped out, hence why the world is magical again with only the fossils and dead architecture of "industry"). That way we can see, once again, how Albion has changed over the years. (Whereas a prequel or reboot timeline would be too familiar or too foreign) They do this, set it post Fable 3 in the downfall timeline, then it can be magical again and they can find a way to incorporate all previous Fable games' locations. Imagine being able to fully explore Albion! Seeing where exactly everything fits together. (Compared to any of the first 3 games where they each have their own locations with just 1 or 2 common locations between them all)

Fable 3 is one of my all time favorites and I played all of them growing up, I loved the sanctuary, the trophy room with the sword in the chest spent so much time making pies

I wouldn’t say it was gold as I still find it severely lacks when compared to its two predecessors but it’s certainly a fun and enjoyable game with many memorable moments that make it worth playing at least once. I just wish it could have expanded on the gameplay elements of previous games rather than feeling lesser than them.

Fable was such a good series. Played the first one on the original xbox as a kid, then played 2 & 3 on 360. Great times.

Fable 3 is a little bit slow in the beginning but then it just slaps u in the face with how good it is

Fable 3 for couch co op not because it is the best but because it was done better than 2 and is the only 3rd person local co op fantasy affair on the box that isn't Outward. Outward is grand but is also a commitment.

Honestly, if Fable 3 was the only game in the series? It would be fine. Hanging off the coattails of fable and fable 2 though? I think that, and that alone, is what really killed it. It's like going from an outhouse, to a fully plumbed toilet with a bidet, to a bucket. There's nothing really wrong with a bucket, it's perfectly serviceable when you've got nothing else. But when you started off on so much higher of a note, well... it's all about perspective isn't it? My biggest grump about fable 2 was the removal of armor. Otherwise, I'd reckon it's the best in the series. (so far...)

I found a way to duplicate weapons on Fable 3 on Xbox Series S. Pretty much every duplication glitch was patched along time ago but I found a “work around”. You can only duplicate things that can be traded. DLC weapons cannot be duplicated. If anyone wants something duplicated lmk and I will happily do it free of charge “kinda”. I will keep one of the duplicated guns for myself.

Fable 3 is rather close to my heart as p e of the first console games I ever played. After playing the first 2, no it is not as good as the others but Fable was always as ever a good time. I don't play Fable for Philosophy I play Fable for the humor; were not here to discuss the violence inherit within the system were here to dick around and kick chickens

Fable 3 is shit. Spends most of the game building up your brother as the big bad, and then when you confront him he's like "Oh hey actually I'm not evil, I was just a tyrant because the REAL villain is this monster that you've never seen and I've never told anyone about, and it will be here in like a year. Good luck baking pies to build up your army, I'm out."

I remember playing a bit of this game in 2015 (or 2016) and loved it.

Fable 2 had the best environment, fable 3 had the best characterization, and I’m gonna say it, fable 1 had the best gameplay

This game was hated at the time, but it has way more personality and interesting concepts when compared with many games released today

As someone who played all Fable games in sequence, I still think Fable 3 is an awesome game. My biggests issues with it start after getting to the desert. There are a few cool moments but I feel like the whole ending is really out of place for a Fable game, gameplay-wise disappointing and overall really soured the experience, at least for me. For example the quest where you have to guide Walter is utter garbage and a disaster in terms of pacing. Idk, I can't stress enough how bad the chapters after "the arrival" were (I'm trying to avoid spoilers here). Up to this point Fable 3 was really good tho imo. Admittedly, there were a few other issues before that already (althout not nearly as bad), like the super tedious masquerade party, the upgrade system via the Road to Rule was also kinda meh and the whole hidden sanctuary thing (while being a cool idea) is more cumbersome than beneficial over the entire runtime of the game. But they were not that big of a deal for me. Regarding the "desert-problem", I found Fable 2 suffered from the same issue with the Spire, although it wasn't as bad there.

The problem wasn't the game. The problem was Peter God danm overhyped Molyneux who just oversold this game and made the story sound like the next Game of Thrones

In spite of its reception, I never thought this game was bad. They improved a few things from Fable 2, and they also made a few things worse. But I like the writing and story in this one probably the best of the 3. Never cared about any of the side characters that badly in 1 and 2, but 3 fleshed everyone out so well that I actually cared about them. In my first playthrough, before I knew you could just real estate mogul yourself into the good ending, weighing whether or not to keep the promises I made throughout the story was TOUGH. And in the end, I couldn't save very many people and it genuinely made me feel kinda bad. It never happened again because my second playthrough I just bought all the property and breezed through it, but I'm not gonna forget that first time and what it made me feel. So maybe my enjoyment of the game comes from nostalgia, but I also played back through it in 2020 and was still able to have a good amount of fun with it.

Fable 3 would've been so much better if you didn't start as royalty in a castle. That took away from the roleplayability

I have a Xbox series X and the game is constantly stuttering, I always wanted to play Fable 3 but I can do it with the constant stutter in the game

As a person who played fable 3 first and it's by far my favorite, I have a few things I have to say about it. The game itself seems rushed, is essentially a reskin of fable 2, and is overall far too buggy to have been released when it was. The dlc fleshes it out more but it felt like an afterthought as to how it works with the games story- which is what the game focused on so much that they removed menus in favor of the "sanctuary" for a more immersive playing experience. (Don't get me wrong I feel like it's an interesting concept), and it's overall rush into said story sort of takes away from the experience. Then there's the game loop of going to new places and gathering followers by doing fun, but overall weirdly disconjointed mandatory quests! Only to gain enough followers to move to the next area and repeat. It's exhausting. The only thing that breaks up the quests is the combat, which is just as repetitive as the quests, and what barely qualifies as puzzles in the form of flit switches. As well as the obvious game extenders, silver keys and other collectables. But, despite all that, it is still my favorite. Could it possibly be the nostalgia biasing my opinion? Oh yeah. Do I prefer games with comparatively better graphics? Definitely. Do I have some gripes about the illusion of choice in this game? Oh fuck yeah. But I still feel like it is an okay game. The weird sanctuary was completely different form anything else I'd played before when I first played and since I've played other games! The story, while extremely linear and very morally simplified, resonated with me and continues to inspire my storytelling as an adult. Is it cheesy and stupid? Fuck yeah. My rating of the game? 2.5/5 chickens 🐔🐔🐣 Did anyone ask? No. Am I gonna stop asking rhetorical questions? Probably not, but at least I'll stop typing them soon.

I played fable 2 about a decade ago and haven't touched it since but I'm playing though fable 3 and it's great . Clunky and dated that's obvious but a good game is a good game . Excited to replay 2 and hopefully 1 if it comes to battle pass again

I love this game just beat it twice this and have had so much fun gameplay,voice acting,and characters just make me laugh and how real and relatable the world is while being completely unRealistic this game is my childhood one of the first open world video games I have ever played although this game is not perfect(No Game Is) but it’s alright overall funny cause when I was younger I thought game was kind of hard and now a days that is just cap this game can be so easy sometimes I literally just crack up this BS honestly only way your going to die is if u get damaged a lot and u don’t heal from potions or health regeneration or get mcgangbanged by a horde of enemies 😂

I did Fable marathon last week (1-3) and now I appreaciate how they tried the variety - each was a tad different, but arguably, Fable 3 was my most favourite, while Fable 1 has best atmosphere and is... well, like a fable!
