I am happy to see you had a lot of fun with playing this mod, despite its issues. And like you say, there are some discrepancies! For example, I definitely felt it when you said: "You should have left the dog dead bro, it was fun while it lasted". The reason I did that though is because a lot of people always ask that they want more of the dog to be in the game, so I did my best to appeal to that audience haha. I definitely plan to shorten some of those cutscenes for Oakvale and The Guild, as it does make you want to just jump in and play the game already lmao. But like you even mentioned yourself, the intention of these was to appeal to people who are already invested in the story and the cutscenes themselves. This is why some of them contain spoilers. That and I was just having fun seeing how much I can get away with in regards to showing people all of the stuff that they can check out in this mod. I do agree 100% with your feedback though: I really need to pick up the pace a bit. Believe it or not, some of these issues were actually fixed at one point (or I had safety measures, like preventing you from accessing new areas as a child in the Heroes Guild) but I lost all of those updates when I got a new PC recently. So I could only restore the latest back-up that I had on my external hard drive 😢 I also don't recommend picking anything up as a child that wasn't originally in the game when doing your Guild Training as you risk losing them when you become an adult due to cutscene scripts that were created by the developers. I would also recommend playing the game at "x4 Anti-Aliasing" and a slightly lower "Effects Detail" in the Options Menu. As some people say it helps mitigate the crashing issue. I can't confirm this from experience, though. I feel hopeful to see that you didn't go past the Guild part of the game in this video, as I am hoping to release a new patch in the next couple of days which improves past this point in the story! I can't do anything about what you were experiencing in the Heroes' Guild, however. I can only suggest that if it gets too annoying, make a save on vanilla that has already done the Guild or skip the cutscenes and rush it.
@@PTMG Honestly, I am just glad to see someone else play it. This really does help give a lot of insight and perspective on how people play the game. Also, I just want to say; I appreciate your brutal honesty when it comes to criticizing this mod. You don't hold anything back and that's really good to know.
After seeing your videos about this mod I decided to download it as well and started playing today and I really like it so far :) I love that there is much more to do/explore now (especially after playing fable so many times that I know all the quests and stuff so normally I just kinda rush through the game when I play it) and I really like the extended cutscenes! Can't wait to continue playing tomorrow :)
The acorn itself is not an object you can find in the game, so I made references to it and changed it so you see the tree in Oakvale grow as you age. It's very, very basic but it technically does what Peter Molyneux said it did.
The mod was originally that, strictly about the cut content for the game. But honestly that is just boring to play due to how limited the content is and how much of it was cut. Like if I only added the cut content stuff, you probably wouldn't even notice there was a difference at all. So instead, I created some new ideas using the same ideas and assets that were cut or expanding on them. If that makes sense?
