If you haven't played Fable...you are missing a huge part of experience points in life!! Go play Fable 1 & 2...3 if you must. But part 2 is a must! Go go go, what are you waiting for?
Everything in that trailer was gameplay running on a Series X (thus the 30fps). This is also not made by Lionhead, it's Playground Games who normally do the Forza Horizon games.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the woman speaking at the end about fixing Albion might be Theresa from past Fable games. It would be a neat way to tie a reboot into older games. I won't spoil anything but there are easily ways they could bring her back while making this a new rebooted world that is separate from the game before.
That’s interesting for some reason my mind went to a family member(?) same race or entity as jack of blades but ur right could be Theresa but the way they were talking about her didn’t give Theresa vibes as she wasn’t trained to be a hero ? Who knows honestly
I had that same thought but I honestly don't think so. We know Theresa's backstory, how she became blind, and how she became that spectral figure in Fable 2/3. She was never trained by some hero named Humphrey, she was raised with Twinblade the bandit leader. I still feel like WHOEVER this is will definitely have ties to the past games though. Maybe a descendant of the hero from Fable 3, since they like following the lineage usually.
No thats highly doubtful considering Theresa was a child during this time. If it is set in the same time as the first game then Theresa has not yet had her eyes sliced out or grown up yet into the bada$$ lady she is.
No, that is highly unlikely. This game is set in the same time period as the first. Therefore Theresa would be a little girl at this time. And has not yet had her eyes taken or grown up to fulfill her prophecy. I think this is a new game entirely in the same relm
The final scene might be the protagonist that made all the morally right choices facing another protagonist that made all the wrong choices. This might have been a scene made specifically for the trailer to emphasize the choices aspect of the game.
My favourite part of this showcase was every British games journo going "wait, was that Super Hans in the Fable trailer???" and then every other games journalist going "wtf is a Super Hans?".
Took xbox like 3/4 years to get cooking but this showcase has been one of the best in the past few years its nice to see their studio purchases finally bringing their games out
I care about the gameplay. I hope we get all the spells from the first Fable game back plus new ones, morphing good vs evil is back, and there is weapon stats with crossbows and longbows back. We need medieval aesthetic as well with killable Heroes and a Hero’s Guild
Fable 2 was the first game (other then like sims 2 and lionheads other game black and white) that I played after watching my brother play number 1 when I was younger (which I did go back and replay) It is legitimentky my favourite franchise. I'm so pumped for this the OG triligoy had an amazing soundtrack. As a big fan of the franchise it was great to see Bowerstone City and Fairfax castle and it looks gorgeous and what I presume to be the old heroes guild? Trying to work out if the every end is Jack Of Blades adjacent?
The Fable games are fun, I enjoyed the trilogy and I'm excited for this. Its true that Peter Molyneux, in general, was great at talking up what he wanted his games to do before the team actually got to work … Microsoft have since bought Lionhead and he isn't running the show as far as I know. Regardless this was originally slated as a reboot into that world and Im up fornseeing hownthey do it!
I know this is people #1 question is what if character creation is gonna be in the game and i really hope so yea the other games dont have it but i feel like its about time we do it is (OUR) Hero it really only makes sense especially with the obvious upgrade from the last game
Fable is the only game that could make me buy an Xbox again 😭 I played 2 and 3 yearsssss ago and naturally barely remember anything from them lol Mannnn!
Lionhead was the studio that originally developed Fable 1 through 3 and their studio was based in Brighton, England! It’s also called Brighton Hove & Albion which is why I believe they called it Albion
The whole trailer was gameplay. You dudes said the same thing about Hellblade 2 and it came out looking even better than the trailers. Pay attention when it says In-game footage that’s what you’re going to be playing
