Lol...I don't know why it kept doing that. It was so random. Sorry for the mental interference! Affiliate link in comment and description, if you're cool with using that.
@@PinkBuddhaAcademy - yeah it’s weird - it was almost like the effect you would get if you were filming at 30 frames per second but a LED light or some other sort of capacitance was causing the frames to lose sync. But that was just a screen recording from your computer, yes? Maybe an interpolation issue? Beats me.
This might happen when switching from retina to non-retina screens. A workaround in this case is passing kontakt back and forth between screens again, or by clicking on the new browser icon and back.
Nice overview, and I loved the Arrival reference 😂. The circle/orb controls the mic position between the room and overhead mics. Your demos are great, by the way! Only a few creators in the NI affiliate space can play keys on that level, so please keep showcasing that.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Oh nice clarification with the mics. When I get these early, they don't always have much information about them or how they work!
They sound great, especially for Cinematics, a bit samey though but yeah, nice samples. Not sure about the price tag, seems a tad steep for what it is but still...a collection of samples well done.
I got both Lores and Fables together about a month ago....I'm still going through learning new things. Which is why I'm watching this, great video , but if I may point something out I noticed.......The Expression really adds and takes away alot as does the mod wheel especially if set for changes. I just say as you barly touched the expression and itreally does make a difference. There really is so much in these 2 libraries the possibilities seem endless. Thanks again for the video guy, great job!
Thanks for not taking that the wrong way!! I, we appreciate you taking your time to make this video for us, the last thing I wanted is to come across like a jerk. I very much appreciate your reply ,thank you! Again thank you for using your time to help us navigate this great library......that's a good person right there!!
My reaction to Fable's size is the same as yours. Then, I remembered I have it's sister library, LORES which is 72 GB. So I guess we gotta thank NI for showing some mercy on our SSD spaces? 😄
Took me a second to understand why he thought that was so shocking... Because have several libraries from Orchestral Tools and Spiftire that are over 300gb for a single library. Gets pretty painful when you realize you're probably gonna need to spend as much money on drive space as on the libraries themselves, lol.
@hypernova Ok yeah - those other libraries are RIDICULOUS in their size. I guess my reaction was relative to the size of most of the other Kontakt instruments/libraries. The ones you're referring to are on a whole other level.
@@PinkBuddhaAcademy Yeah, and most of the time those libraries are anywhere between $400 and $1000, so the average music dabbler probably isn't gonna go near them (always wait for Black Friday sales). Thankfully, drive space is slowly becoming more affordable, because you almost NEED a fast SSD to handle them: I have a huge choir library from 8Dio that simply will not load from a slower external hard drive, even though it's fairly new!
The thing is most of NI's libaries are super overpriced in terms of quality so that it only makes sense to get it in a komplete bundle - while I will never pay so much money for 90 percent stuff that I will never use. Also the monopoly of the Kontakt Player is a big no go in the industry for me so I am happy that there are some library manufacturers that move away from Kontakt. but hey great Let's Play !
Jonathan, I'm considering getting an S61 by Native Instruments which has a description that it includes aftertouch. Did you notice if the preset aftertouch (default settings) seemed good for aftertouch on this Fables library?
Well...some of the presets didn't have much aftertouch programmed. But if you notice from my walkthrough in the beginning of the aftertouch section, there are a TON of ways you can configure aftertouch in Falbles. I will def be digging into that more with these sounds.
@@PinkBuddhaAcademyWell thank you :D I have another question. the new ni mk3 keyboard have polyphonic aftertouch. Do you have some video talking about that ? Or maybe can you tell me the difference between a classic aftertouch like mk2 keyboard and polyphonic aftertouch like the new mk3 ?
