I bought some fabric online recently and it is sheer (it was described as non sheer). So, I want to still use it for my dress I had in mind and make a slip. I dont think a slip would be hard to make (salt water slip dress) but I need a fabric that is appropriate… silk? Might as well make a fancy slip if I make one. What fabric and pattern would you use? A kimono or scarf is good for sheers but I don’t wear either. That’s a good idea for your next video… what to do with sheer fabric!😊 I also would prefer no music. I always avoid hallmark movies because of the music in the background. But, do what makes you happy. ❤️
I love Fabricmart! I nearly always get at least one 10 yard bundle with every order. This last order I did get 2, the 10 yard and the woven. Never ever been disappointed. I get fabrics I probably would not have ordered, but am so very happy to get something I have used. I once ordered the silk bundle and it was truly amazing, coordinates silks in beautiful fabrics and loved it. Never got a notion bundle, but like the one you got so may have to try that one next time. I am addicted to at least one mystery item when I buy fabrics.
I’m addicted to those mystery bundles too! 😂 I was always hesitant to try the silk one as I was afraid it would be silk tie fabrics. I may try one next time they offer it.
Hello. Sheers are great for tops. Especially where it’s hot. It’s a second layer that won’t make you hot. Great for sundresses,skirts. Good luck. Don’t be afraid of it. I would advise that you open out anything that;s supposed to be cut on the fold, open it out and flip your pattern piece or trace it and cut it at a single piece. Also use pattern weights and a rotary cutter and a fresh blade on your cutter.
Watch Katrina on Lifting Pins and Needles she uses a lot of sheer fabric in everyday wearable garments. Any woven top with a cami under it can be sheer!
The sheer black would look so cute in a loose t shirt like the Cielo over a cami of black or a different color! Love seeing the mystery bundles. I’ve chicken to buy one! 🙃

Yes it was under the sales section. I just checked, it’s not there right now. My guess is they either sold out for the day, or they put it on hold temporarily.
Was always afraid to order a mystery bundle fearing I'd get something I'd never use. Did like your woven bundle. Thanks for showing us what to expect. The sheers would be good for an overlay or lightweight topper like a shrug or duster.
Judy M Oh, I understand completely. There’s always a risk that what you get is not something you would like the color, or the fabric content. I feel like I’ve been pretty fortunate with the mystery bundles over the years. And I do have sewing friends, and if I would happen to get something that I know I will never use, I am able to gift it to them.
I have not tried anything mystery yet - I may be a closet control freak haha. I was just about to finish up an order from Fabric Mart. If there is anything there that is mysterious. I’ll throw it in my cart. I bought that lilac fabric a while ago, i got 10 yards and I’m going to make a -set of gorgeous sheer curtains for my bedroom. (I’m buying a new home and it’s going to be girly now that I’m suddenly finding myself without a husband. Im going to get a pink sofa too. My life has a silver/lilac lighting lately
That was funny when you said you were allergic to burlap. I am as well! I love Fabric Mart. SR Harris just opened up again here in Minnesota this week. I’m looking forward to being able to shop there again.
