Cool video, I liked the rockin tunes. Building one of these is so much more than just making a "box". For sure, you are a craftsmen. Great looking drum. Even if you don't like drums, this thing is just a cool looking piece of art in its own right. Good job man! I built one of these a few years ago. It turned out pretty good, but made a better end table than a drum. I ended up giving it to someone and they loved it. I would like to make another, maybe I will try some of your construction ideas
It seems like a very good video and cajon making, (But) i don't see the reason for that background music. First it gave me a (headache) second, i COULDN'T listen to the sound of the cajon!!
Hey, first I find your use of parenthesis (interesting). Also I really don't see what's wrong with putting music on this video : if you hate music then why on earth do you watch an instrument being made ?? Are you frustrated because you would have preferred to listen the sweet sound of powered-tools ? You can also (mute) the video if you so desire ! And finally yes, you are right about the sound of the cajun itself, I also would have liked to hear how it sounds, but you can still check the facebook page listed at the end ! Have a good day 😉
DANKE lG Oliver
Well, you spent as much time making the seat as you did making the rest of it. Would have been interesting to HEAR what all those elaborate adjutables actually SOUND like. Without a sound demo, it's just a fancy box.
Surely the wire should contact the top for the snare sound otherwise when you attempt a bass drum you will get snare? Duff, is a beer Homer Simpson drinks.
If you really like videos with bgm at least play some cajon music. You’re not making a guitar, are you? So why playing a blues? Honestly, the bast way to go is no bgm at all.
