it’s crazy how before fabrice collapsed, there weren’t any cardiologists or specified heart doctors at pitchside. This man might’ve been the reason that Erikson survived his cardiac arrest as he had the proper medical care🤷‍♂️

Even more shocking is that it happened to other players around that period and also that some people didn't learn from it. Nouri got awful treatment and he was not so fortunate as muamba. Also shoutout to the cardiologist who was in the stands who saved Muamba.

I was diagnosed with cancer on my birthday 5 years ago. I’m saying this because I just felt like the most unlucky person in the world when I found out, just like Muamba. It took me some time but I realized I was very lucky even though it wasn’t good luck. When I was sitting there truly just looking at my own mortality I realized in my specific situation I’m very lucky to be alive. I realized that we aren’t guaranteed tomorrow’s. That’s how I try to live everyday now. I’ve been cancer free for 4 years now and I’m blessed to be typing this. St Patrick's Day, evening kick off, I had just come in from playing a match. 15 year old me had just sat down, dinner in hand, when it happened. Literally just sat there in shock. I was the same age as Muamba was when I had my cardiac arrest back in 2014. The bloody doctors showed me Van Loo, who had a internal defibulator installed in 2008 and went down (and back up) in 2009. Now you have Daley Blind, and of course Eriksen who isn't back to playing yet but was an absolute champ. A pro football pitch is a relatively fantastic place to have a cardiac arrest. I really appreciate the efforts of Muamba to spread AEDs and promote CPR training so that people anywhere and everywhere have a chance. In my case, if my mother didn't know what she was doing, I'd be dead or too much of a carrot to be typing here. Go learn CPR, folks.

I remember every exact detail of that day. I was 8 years old and my team (West Brom) were away at Wigan in a Premier league game and we drew 1-1, most boring 1-1 draw there's ever been. On the 2 & half hour journey back to Walsall, we were on the M6 motorway and the weather just turned completely. Thunder and lightning and it was pitch black. Rain coming down quite heavily aswell, I've seen bad weather before but that experience was particularly eerie. We didn't even know anything bad had happened. We got back home at around ten to 8 in the evening. We turned on sky and they just said "Tottenham vs Bolton abandoned" and we thought it was to do with the bad weather, then they went live to the hospital and we still just thought "ok maybe it was just a bad leg break" but then it obviously clicked that this was much worse than just a bad leg injury. I remember when he walked out onto the pitch at the Reebok against Tottenham in May and seeing that on tv was genuinely emotional, we played them a few days later at the Reebok and I remember when they went 1 & 2-0 up, all Albion fans were actually cheering their goals because the whole nation just wanted Bolton to stay up after what the club had been through but unfortunately we ruined that, made it 2-2 and sent them down. I'll never ever forget where I was and every little detail of that day! Impossible to forget

It was a beautiful night and the weather was perfect but then Muamba collapsed and it was terrifying. They were frantically doing CPR on the pitch and the whole place went quiet which is surreal at a Premier League match. Tottenham handled it with class. I remember it like it was yesterday because I was in hospital recovering from my cardiac arrest on the 1st March 2012. My heart was stopped for about an hour and I had to be defibrillated 6 times.
