Harlene I love your thoroughness in checking for condition and you dedication to bringing only quality pieces to your customers 😁 For years I have been checking pieces by running my fingers over pieces just like you do because as you say the fingers will find things that the eyes can miss. Just want to caution you and suggest that instead of sliding you fingers tap and touch with fingertips or maybe use fingernail on vase openings. Last month I ran my finger around the top of a vase, just like I’ve done for almost 20 years and sliced my finger . As a retired nurse I never take any chances when it comes to cuts, scrapes and risk of infection. I went to bathroom and washed cut with soap and water and put a bandage 🩹 on it, checked out and used the first aid kit in my car to clean it again ,as it was still bleeding ,applied neosporin and new bandaid. I did everything right to care for it but next morning seemed worse , by that evening I had fever . Went to doctor next morning very sick. I had a systemic infection from that tiny cut. Doctor said nothing I could have done would have prevented infection as it was caused by the bacteria that was on that vase and the cut was deep enough that it had entered my system as soon as it happened. No wound care could have prevented it. I’m not trying to scare you or deter you. I am still thrifting and checking for chips I just tap and touch instead of slide my fingers as it was the sliding my finger around the top that allowed the cut to be so deep. I also started wearing a necklace with a little magnifying glass on it to take closer looks😂 THRIFT ON !😄

Happy Belated Birthday Wishes Harlene!!!🎉 I often wondered why you carried a big purse with you. But I was probably thinking about how I have downsized my own purses when I go shopping. We had the pitcher with glasses in Orange when I was little. Very nice picks from today's journey. Forgot to thank Will for the tee shirt website in the Mall. Hello my friends! @6:17 right next to the Unicorn is what looks to be Excellent condition, Lipton, Dainty MISS 1950s, rare wall pocket... sells $24‐ $50. Dainty Miss are highly desirable in the Kitsch category. Kitsch is getting harder to find which is driving prices up in the antique stores so finding good ones in the raw for low prices is a really good thing. 😊
