Il modello Rc è molto bello, bravo. La navigazione è eseguita molto bene, grazie alla corretta velocità e al fumo che esce dai fumaioli, sembra molto realistica. The RC model is very nice, well done. The navigation is done very well, thanks to the correct speed and the smoke coming out of the smokestacks, it seems very realistic. Since I'm building a sailing and propeller RC model with smoke stacks, (in the second part of this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NTsYPwn58U4.html, you can see the details better), I'd like to ask you how you went about creating the smoke. Do you think I could do it on my model too?
Everything is nice, but can we know who is playing please? I love it!:) Plus the solo drum beginning sounds as a steam engine and then goes with the jazz flow....
Nice model and nice Jazz, but not sure they belong together. It kind of sounds like a marriage made in hell! However, if I wanted to eat that boat, this music would probably be a good accompaniment . Just saying...
Great models. Would like to know which ship the Castle Line is. I was brought up in Kenya and travelled back and forth in the 40's and 50' on Castle Line. It brought back some happy memories. Thanks.
Thanks for responding. I remember the Pretoria but never sailed on her. We used the Llandovery, Warwick and Durban the last two being sister ships. Anyway, the models are beautiful and represent MANY hours of devoted time, Congrats to all the owners.
tubeflair . A friend was 3/O on the Oranje years back. It was part of his lot to conduct bridge tours for the passengers. On one occasion, a strip gauge had been removed from the front of a walk-behind switch board behind the wheel. One of the lookouts had had a rough night the night before and it showed! 3/O thought it would be a good idea to have the man stand behind the gap with just his (bloodshot) eyes showing. The inevitable question about "iron mike" came from one of the passengers during the tour and 'S...' casually indicated the pair of eyes moving mechanically from side to side in the gap. An elderly lady, near enough to see the apparition, passed clean out. Captain was Terry "Swivel Eye" Lloyd, who took a dim view of this stupidity. It very nearly curtailed 3/O's career! ;-)
Beautiful wish I had the skill to build one And have a couple friends and I would love the same hobbies by the way here in Florida you have to be careful with the alligators can sit down and Leave your Legs in the water lol
+Raul Rodriguez You definitely have to respect the alligators! But don't let them stop you from building models if you would like to. It's a great hobby. Thanks for your interest.
Thank you for your beautiful video presentation of your beautiful boats by the way how much would you sell one of those boats if someone will be interested
I don't think you can put a price tag on a labour of love. As for the skill to build one, you don't need it. All you need is patience and determination. The skill will come with time. I recently decided to see if I can build a model boat, so I bought some tools, some wood, and got started. So far, I'm quite impressed with how far I got without any training - the bow came out way better than I expected. I'm planning to build a C4-S-1A freighter - with a bit of artistic licence of cause. Model ships have to comply to one function and one function only: They must be pretty.
