Little Froggy is so blessed to have such an active and involved mother in her life! My own late mother was like you in many ways. I begged for a Barbie and finally got one at age 16 (I was "too old" for dolls when Barbie was introduced in 1959). My mother bought a few Barbie patterns from Simplicity and McCalls and filled a boot box with a complete hand-made wardrobe, including a leopard-trimmed wool coat, hat, and bag, a wedding gown with miniature pearls as buttons that covered the snap-shut back of the gown, prom dresses, coat suits, lingerie, peignoirs, bathing suits, day dresses, etc. The doll got passed along to a younger cousin, sadly, when I married, and I wish I had it today. However, my mother's legacy is that I will buy a Barbie or Skipper (those patterns are available from vintage dealers) and create an entire wardrobe for any grand-niece, granddaughter, or cousin's grandchild who asks. May the love and skill of creative moms and dads continue to be passed on to future generations!

Honestly admitting I really envy that dolls room right now.... :) I've bought those doily's too for doll rugs! $1 at Michael's craft store! And I've used little key chain figures as toys and other props. So glad to see I'm the only one. I just bought the Enchanted Rose necklace from Hot Topic because it's the perfect size to use with the dolls. Now, I need a Beast, lol. Or a Rosabella.... Uh, anyway....LOVE THE ROOM!
