I wish I could live here, but my daughter has Epilepsy. Too many places for her to fall from and get hurt, 😔 but it's certainly a piece of Heaven on earth!

The Marrakech region presents all sorts of properties, including loads of ground floor opportunities. It's certainly no more dangerous than anywhere else for people with epilepsy. All love to you and your daughter.

That really would be a great summer weekend escape spot; you’d likely have plenty of Marrakechi takers not just tourists interested. Trying to work out the main aspect; looking at the satellite dish position, assuming it is in a working orientation I’d guess the main view across the valley is to the north?

I would say mostly SE.

Correct! It faces north across the valley and the sun sets more or less in the valley itself, which is nice

It looks like it was well build back in the day, perhaps thats why it’s sill standing.. That’s about all you could say about this derelict villa. You would need to pore a lot of time and money into this restoration project.

It is super solid. And at this price it's a gift. For someone who wants an Ourika Valley villa, either as a holiday home or as a rental property, this is amazing.

Mark referred to the "French Protectorate", which was how Morocco was called at that time ... by the French. The architecture is still known as Protectorate Architecture. Morocco is a fiercely independent Kingdom and never accepted French rule. In fact the French never really established control over the whole Kingdom and by 1940 the writing was already on the wall and full Independence was achieved less than 10 years after the end of WWII.

The Sultan always remained on the Throne, hence Protectorate. If the French had deposed him it would have become a colony.
