Jacob, love all your videos man 👊🏾👊🏾 , from Philadelphia USA . Lol I don’t travel outside of the USA …. So it’s good to see another part of the world 🌍 . Graffiti on the wall is awesome….. hoods everywhere 🤣 🗽🗽 . You get thumbs up 👍🏾 from me and I I’m not too sure about this app, not too sure on how this would fit in my work flow.
Very much looking forward to proper import/export of presets because we'd like all of our packs to have preset support for FAC Drumkit just like we support 13+ other apps :)
Somebody got a fresh trim, lol. I love FAC Drumkit. Big fan, super clean, and sounds great. especially love the envelopes, Wave forms, and the Sample envelopes. Great rundown Jakob. Thanks.
Excellent tutorial dude. I made my own for this app but had to watch yours to make sure it wasn’t better than mine. :) Unfortunately it was! Haha, keep up the great work sausage. :)
As always, Jakob, a GREAT and NECESSARY tutorial!!! So clear and easy to follow! But, the one piece of information that I was looking for was how to connect FAC DrumKit to a midi source, like Rozetta XOX. I'm sure it's not that hard and I can figure it out. Oh, on a side note, when I still had a wooden house in Denmark, I took the ferry over to Göteborg to buy, like, 10 x 5 gallon buckets of Falu Rödfärg Sort (black) to paint my house with. It's the best paint in the world for a wooden house; looks amazing in the midsummer light. Enjoy your summer!
Jakob, excellent video! Although Fred's manual is ok (it explains *what* the parameters are but not *how* to use them), your video was invaluable, and I already have designed a kit. Fred has been extremely responsive and helpful when I've had questions, and all his apps are top quality. Faluröd; therefore, thanks!
Great insights, Jakob. I bought this drum “system” as a lark after seeing the interface (i love no-nonsense interfaces). Though i watched Matt’s presentation (because the interface SO cryptic) and made a couple of sounds, there were some areas that were still mysterious. But now I’m fully up-to-speed thanks to you. This will make a nice companion to the bulky but GLORIOUS “Drum Computer” and with Fac Drums being so light on my processor…. Well, its going to be fun making Drums instead of buying the samples! (Yes, i’m cheap)
@@JakobHaq i LOVE DC… but it’s just SO FAT in my processor (as much as 50% of my standard iPad’s RAM). FAC Drumkit is lightweight and DOUBLE the drums to boot!
The more of these Drumkit vids I watch, the more convinced I am that this is not the app for me. However, thanks for the tutorial, and huge thanks for the samples- they’ll find their way into Hammerhead, Digistix…
Once again a joy to watch. Love your arrows and boxes - sure beats looking at AUM for the duration. Wondering why I am weighing up an iOS drum synth when I scarcely ever use NI Battery or Waldorf Attack on PC - guess it’s about instant on and an inviting interface. And of course the FAC factor.
Btw. I was hesitating when watching demo videos of other channels: do I still need another drumkits after owning DrumComputer and other samplers? But I am sold and just pressed the purchase button after seeing ur outdoor footage. Lol
Most humans love puppies. Anyone who doesn't love puppies can not be happy because they are unable to feel puppy love, which is key for human emotional development. So go find at least one puppy and love it/him/her.
Thank you Jakob, for another great tutorial and great samples! I loaded the samples 👍🏼 but is there a way to load the preset file also? May be I am overlooking the obvious. Thnx!
If you’ve got Drumkit open then close it. You have to put the userpreset file inside the “On my iPad/iPhone > Drumkit > fac presets > import” directory through the files app. Do not rename the file. Afterwards, start the Drumkit and you’ll find the preset in the kit bank list. Select it. Now, this is where you start loading the samples into the different slots and when you’re done, save it by long pressing on the kit bank list and chose save. Fred is working on a better implementation for preset sharing so hopefully we won’t have to do it like this in the future.
Drumkit looks cool. and I am sure you can make some great sounds from it. As far as sample imports, if I import a longer sample, I know it cuts it off at 1 second. Does the start parameter allow you to scroll through the entire sample or just the initial 1 second? if that makes sense.
Freakin crap dude, I just noticed you have grey hair. You look like your around 25 which why this is a shock. When we were 26 my childhood friend already had his full blown grey hair, but he probably had it fully grey a couple or few years before I noticed, which means he must of had it before we were 26. You still look like a young rockstar and grey don’t mean shit. My other friend thinks I’ll go bald in the future
Haha! Yeah I’m turning 45 this year. A lot of people never notice my age until I tell them I started out with computerised music 30 years ago on a Commodore 64.
