i modified your code abit and i can create a dataset from my webcam from face identification ,i then created my dataset of 40*10 people ,then i used load database function to load the data,then used the face recognition function to recognise fuction ,the codes work fine and i still get results accurately ,the problem is that when i select image that when i for example try to compare same images in different folders it dosent match the righ images and the result becomes a different person.but thank you so much ilove the lessons
The possible reasons of this problem are: 1. Dataset name mismatching 2. Directory mismatching 3. Incorrect iteration in for loop 4. Incorrect image size To solve the problem follow the steps: 1. Check if you have taken exact number of 0s. Then check if all of the images are of same resolution 2. Check if the number of iteration agrees with the number of images 3. Check if you are pointing to correct directory 4. Check if the dataset has been named properly.

Error using * MTIMES is not fully supported for integer classes. At least one input must be scalar. To compute elementwise TIMES, use TIMES (.*) instead. There are total of 40*10=400 images. Then why is all_Images = zeros(10304,40); and not all_Images = zeros(10304,400); Sir, if you can spare some time to explain this please do.

Shadman, I re-tested the code. It is working properly on my end. Please check if you have placed the data-set properly. Then check if your Matlab support 'conv2' operation.

hello sir. I tried to modify this code for choosing image manually. Now I can choose pictures manually, but when i run the code, command window says "matrix dimensions must agree". And can't recognise face. What went wrong?

I tried to apply my own images but it didnt work very well the error said that matrix dimension must be agree however I arranged their size and dimension how to overcome this problem
I did it and it worked for me. First I took 10 black and white photos of mine and then using paint I gave it the required dimension i.e. 92px * 112px . Then I converted my photos to .pgm format online. and added it in a new folder s41. Then I had to change the code at some places like 1. all_Images=(10304,41) in Load_database.m 2. for i=1:41 in Load_database.m 3. random_Index=(410*rand(1,1)) in Face_Recognition.m
