This is the second interview I’ve watched TODAY where Richard Gere uses the cookie metaphor. Telling the same rehearsed story over and over in interviews? That seems kind of shallow for a Buddhist.
Maybe little late to see your question. There is no comparison as you asked. Buddhism/Buddha is NOT religion as fact. Buddhism/Buddha was born to SERVE the humanity and living things on this earth in this miserable living space and in the universe(s). That is one of BIG differences if comparing Buddha/Buddishm to other religions. Then it ends the story if you'd like to compare more thus there is no ground to comparison :). Amitabha!

Inspiring .... Richard .... bravo 👏 I was also raised Christian .... although the wiser I get.... the more open I am to all faiths having positive aspects. I personally am veering more towards spiritual than organized religion, more towards meditation 🧘♀️- Buddhism teachings ..... we are all energy .... beings.... everything is made of energy.... Meditation 🧘♀️, peace , happiness , joy, peace ..... compassion .... is key
