Thank you, I have been searching for about two weeks now and I could not find any information until I came across your page to help me set up my Facebook business I truly appreciate it and will share your information thank you again ❤️😀😎🕺🏼
This sounded good when I saw this title but seeing how Facebook enforces how you run your business ie shipping times etc is a big red flag for me, Would rather build online shop through other mediums where I am in total control. BTW your video quality and presentation is awesome.
Hi Jacques, Thanks mate, yes that is a great point! Unfortunately, there are those limitations. I hope they remove this as for some businesses this is not possible.
Thank you so much for giving me a new idea to sell my products. Before, Facebook is just for my entertainment use only, but after watching your video it suddenly changed. Because of your informative step-by-step tutorial on how to sell products via Facebook app, my growing business just saw and met its new home to grow.
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been trying to figure out how to sell my products on Facebook and you just made it possible. I will work on this tomorrow morning. Thanks again for helping me and my small business grow. Stay Safe.
You touched on everything I wanted to know, thank you for doing the basics. So many videos skip over these and these are the little details everyone wants to know. Thanks for doing a great job!
This is so helpful! Thank you. I have been stalling doing this from fear of screwing everything up. Your approach made me feel much calmer and more confident.
Thank you, this is awesome! I’m in Aus and just wondering what happens with the taxes section? I’m classed as a hobbyist as I sell a small amount of handmade products. Do I have to have a registered business bricks & mortar store? 🇦🇺❤️
Amazing detailed way of explaining. I really appreciate as I was looking around for many questions about Facebook Shop and surprised that I have got all answers from this video. I do not comment normally but you deserve it.
Great Tutorial thank you! I have a Facebook shop set up but having trouble with adding Products to Sets. Or moving them to a different set. Seems very complicated! Could you do a further tutorial please?
This was very clear, thanks Stewart - probably the best, most useful I've seen. I like the way you outlined all the steps showing visuals for each without being too slow or too fast. It was excellent! Thank you. (Just so that you know I was hanging on every word, where you explain 'basket minimum for free delivery' it sounds like you're saying $15 but the number you enter is $50). Is it possible to sell my yoga videos in this way and not just physical products?
This is a a great information but there is one HUGE issue. If Facebook decides to ban your personal account for any reason this will lock you out of your business. Could be 3 days or more or for good. I would be very careful using Facebook for selling anything if you’re vocal on opinions. The can literally shut your business down in one keystroke. I’ve been banned 30 days for a post someone else posted on my page. I argued it with them and they didn’t care and shut me out of my art page for a month.
Hi Micheal, Good point. There are flaws. It's important to still have your website for selling and use FB as an option for customers to purchase through too as an additional channel.
Hi 3 questions 1 is there a way to ship 1 to 2 weeks option 2 is there a way customers can leave feedback or reviews on items they have purchased 3 is there a no returns option?
This was such a thorough video! so easy to follow. What if you have products that you drop ship to customers, how do you set that up on Facebook shops. The items ship from the United States so shipping will take 3-5 days and I would be selling domestically. Thanks
Hi Stephanie, Thanks for your comment. You can still set it up through Facebook however, link Facebook shops with your Shopify store. I will put together a tutorial on integrating the two together.
Great tutorial. I am in Canada and received an email invite to starting using the new Facebook shops. I have an existing FB page shop with an e-commerce store that I pay a monthly fee for. It seems with the new Facebook shops, an e-commerce store is no longer required as you can checkout directly from Facebook. Am I right? If so, would I just unlink my e-commerce store, cancel my e-commerce subscription and create my products manually in the Facebook shop?
Hi Peggy, Glad it was helpful! You are correct. This means your customers can buy directly through Facebook. Personally, I would keep your store and link your store with Facebook shops and then over time remove your ecommerce store if you are finding that the Facebook shop works for you.
Hi ! Thank You very much for this video . By any chance do y you know If the customer email and contact information is released to the shop owner ? Also could you please make A video on how to link the shop to Instagram.. Thank You so much again 😊
Hi Claudia, You are welcome. Yes, the customer service contact information will be provided to the customer. Yes, that is the pipeline as more features are released. Thanks!
Thanks for the great video. Can you please explain what can we ship items without a tracking number? Usually for low-value items in Australia we send them via normal post without tracking and eBay usually allows this. How does this work in FB?
Hi Stewart, can you choose what country can buy each of your individual products? Some of my products could be sold overseas but my vegetable seeds can only be sold within Australia. I wouldn't want someone outside of Australia accidentally paying for seeds that I can't send and having to refund money. Can you help?
Hi mate, unfortunately, you do not have these options to set, FB shops is still very limited. The only option is to make it clear in your product description or/and even in your images.
Hi Stewart, thank you for the informative video! I ,like many others ,have problems with the catalogue manager and much less functionality editing my products. I would like to know if there is any way to go back to a previous version (before the business manager) or get around it? Thank you, Jennifer
Hi Jennifer, I'm glad you found it interesting! Yes, from the sounds of it, Facebook has not yet rolled out all the features in many countries. Seems like there are limitation on certain accounts too. Currently, there is not much support online. Personally, I would wait till Facebook has updated Facebook Shops. Seems like they were in too much of a rush!
Great video ... but... We previously were able to post homes and duplexes for rent to Marketplace as a Business Page. This SHOP tutorial does not address the "Homes for Rent" option. Can you point me to another of your videos to show the new way to do this? Thanks in advance.
Hi mate, Unfortunately FB shops is very limited at the moment. When these features release in our country we will provide our guidance. Thanks for your comment.
Great video! I wish I would have watched this before I started setting up my shop. Now it's asking me add a website to the items under catalog and I can't figure out how to change it. Any suggestions?
Hi Stewart! Thank you for taking the time to make this video. However, I am unable to take the very first step because I do not see the "Shop" tab on my screen to setup my shop. Did I forget to do something when I initially created the page? I watched your video on "How To Create a Facebook Business Page" but maybe I missed something.
Hi elooda, That is strange. I will have to look around online and see if anyone else has had that issue. I suggest, checking that your business page is 100% correct.
Hi Stewart, many thanks for this very useful and easy to follow tutorial! If the customer wants to return the item to me for whatever reason, does it have to be to my registered business address? What if I run the business from home and don't want my home address to be made public? What would be my alternatives, please? Thanks once again.
Very informative video, thank you, i would like to ask is there an option to add multiple payment methods in Facebook shops, as the country i am from customer dnt use Credit or debit cards as an option the usually opt for COD "Cash On Delivery" and secondly is it necessary to add tax information when making FB SHOPS from an other country like INDIA or PAKISTAN ???
Hi Ritekeen, Thank you for your comment. Good questions. Currently, not. However, more and more features will roll out in the coming days, weeks and months. If you cannot see that you can.. Unfortunately, it is not fully available in your country. Let's hope this opens up in your country soon!
I’m sorry if someone already asked but is there a way to put your products into the marketplace after they are in your shop? My wife and I are doing very very well in marketplace but our customers want to see our entire stock in one place easily. Thanks.
Thank you for your detailed video. I have a question, Can I link my business website to Facebook marketplace?? if you have any video about that please post it here. Thank you again
I liked your tutorial, however, my page layout and options differ from what you showed here, I don't know why. So it asks me to name a catalog first before even moving forward with adding anything, whereas I see you never had to name it. Could you explain in more details about catalogs and how to use them? I feel like if I don't do it right from the start, my stuff will be all over the place.
Hi Emka, You should be able to manage your catalogs within your catalog manager. We will look at creating a more in-depth overview of the catalog settings.
Hi, the tutorial is very useful. However, I couldn't get a window "Commerce Manager" after clicking the tab "shop", but I can directly add items with product details (without delivery and payment options). Any idea how to fix it?
Hi Stewar, Can you please let me know how video works on Facebook shop. I added photo and video. The photo is OK but is something is wrong with the video. Thanks
Hi Stewart, thanks for this. Do you also know how to convert a regular shop on a bizz page, into the new FB 'shops': Checkout Method still is: "Checkout on Another Website" when i look in settings. I was forwarding the product to a webshop outside of FB and would like to sell directly through FB now. I can't seem to change that setting. Thanks for any insight!
Great Video Stewart! I still have a question, is it possible to add a specific collection/catalogus to another Facebook and Instagram, apart from the original store? For example if a brand releases a collab collection and they want to add the collection to an individual Instagram page made for the collection?
Thank you so much for this!!! I went onto my business page to set up but its only allowing me to connect payment via messenger or through ecommerce site eg shopify.. when I go into commerce manager my business page isnt there to select. I was wondering if the template of the page makes a difference? I have it on shopping should I change it? I am also in Australia do I need to wait for the shop function? Thanks for your help!
Hi Kira, You are more than welcome! Are you the admin for the business page? Make sure your business manager is set up too. Honestly, I'm not too sure if Facebook have completely pushed out the essential features for 'Facebook shops' for all countries yet. Facebook has said this will roll out world wide in the coming weeks (a few weeks back). If this is not available in Australia yet... it should be within the next week I would say!
Ok great thank you, I am the admin of my page so I will wait patiently 😬 lol for it to roll out, when I went onto commerce manager it still had only U.S payments so will keep checking it over the next week or two. Thank you again!
A lot here is helpful, esp if one is tech ignorant. But a lot of the info required to set up business on FB is ,applicable to US users. How will this help me in South Africa? I'd also prefer to have payments made to my PayPal account, as we experience a lot of fruad down here....
Hey Boss Stuart could you please confirm that the option commerce manager is not available in Australia ? That would be just devastated as I need to keep running my little business being stopped by this pandemic.. please let me know what other option we got Please boss
Stewart Gauld Hey Steward Thanks for that .. please keep us inform as soon as it’s available outside USA .. Looking forward to hear about it . Hey mate. Your videos are fantastic gonna keep looking them . Thanks you are helping heaps of people Good man . Javi
Im stuck on the part of adding bulk inventory?? Can you also use the prepaid shipping labels like if you sold something on marketplace Instead of guessing how much shipping would be?
Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to have both standard delivery and local pickup offered. So if the customer chooses local pick up they won’t be charged a shipping fee.?
Hi Stewart. Thank your very much for taking the time explaining this. It was very helpful. I have a question tho. How can I list/sell my shop items on Facebook MarketPlace? I know how to list items on MarketPlace with my personal profile but I can't find a way to add "Stock quantity" to my items so that when a customer hits the "buy now" button it doesn't show it has been "sold". I would like for my items always be available for more purchases until I ran out. Any advice? Thanks
@@StewartGauld hi, do you have a Video for that or something? I've tried everything i've created sets and catalogs but nothing comes up in the facebook page. It also seems that facebooks has changed something in may for facebook shops but i don't know what.
