Great show Capt. I love watching this stuff and being on the river. I have run a small pleasure boat on the Mississippi since about 1985. Back in the day we would lock trough along side the tow boat, man was that a swirly when she pushed out, of course we had to hold our position till they were gone. It was a frightening thing.
Yes, really cool format with the drone AND the explanatory commentary. It is nice to hear what a captain is thinking. As a cook, all I needed to think about was fried chicken.
Cool, I always wonder how the sting the wires on the sides? Those wires must feel really heavy where they have to drag them half way down the boat and then across the face to the corner of the outside barge? RVJimD I just set the drone out in front but yes I am doing both. The wires are very heavy. I had landing accident with drone but alot more videos will be coming
Unfortunately my first and only experience of a towboat was a cook for ACBL. I get captains that tell me how sorry there are for me, being my towboat experience. ACBL is like the JB Hunt, or the Swift of the towboat industry, in many people opinion.
