n South Africa, grandmothers like Leanette Sithole from the Limpopo region are affectionately referred to as 'Gogos'.
Despite some having the surname 'Ndlopfu' which means elephant in the local dialect many Gogos have never encountered these majestic creatures. Just like elephant matriarchs, Gogos embody wisdom & resilience.
The 'Ndlopfu Grandmothers' initiative seeks to bridge this gap by helping to foster a deeper connection between these remarkable women & their wild neighbors, as the wise meet the wise.
