I had no idea about this area until recently. I live in Amador, but moved here in 2012. I do a lot of cycling; this winter, I am thinking about taking a few days off to bike from my home in Ione, to all the different towns in the delta, while stopping at hotels for the night. Since it is all flat, I could easily cover 60 to 80 miles a day, with an occasional 100+ day.
This brought back many special memories for me, some fun and some bitter sweet.. It won't seem the same without kip korth.. when I returned a couple weeks ago the grounds were still kept beautifully Kip's grandmother would have been very proud and so would kip... The deltas gona miss him
