The batsman is so afraid that he is not going towards the ball. If u want to make it a habit to play at this place then start with just middling the ball then move ur feet towards the ball. then automatically ur body will react
you dont need to hit every ball, try playing some good shots, 90% of the shots were catch out, play shots like cover drive, defence, straight drive etc, play some grounded shots.
