I'm a 68yo white man living in my van for 4 yrs now. It is already a bit stressful to be on your own especially in the wilderness with the thoughts of being harassed either by a crazy person or wild animals. So I have deep compassion and feelings for what it's like for a female, black woman especially with the current climate of hate in this country fueled by some of our politicians and law enforcement. Be strong and be safe and remember that most people are good and don't want to hurt you. We're all looking to live a happy and free life, let's not let the bad apples ruin that! Thanks for your encouragement!

What a gorgeous hike! You blessed us by taking us along, so you aren’t ever truly alone! ❤😊You will be self aware every time you do it, but I think you will do it again. And again! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thank you. I get what you're trying to sau, but my self-awareness is NOT why I didn't go solo hiking. My self-awareness of the harm to Black people, the lack of protection of Black women, & the lack of news coverage & concern when something happens to Black people is WHY is didn't do solo hiking!

Absolutely! I love group hikes, but as I'm traveling, it's not always possible. Today, I did a solo hike again, and it was everything!

New subbie!! I must say that I almost exclusively hike solo. I even solo hike every time I travel out of the country. I love the peace and being able to explore at my own pace. I’m a pretty fast hiker and I’m likely to just start trail running. I’ll only go out if I can minimally get in 6/7 miles. I’ll do up to 12/15 miles if I can tho. Great job! So proud of you!

I walk alone on trails that are heavily populated and in urban areas, typically. Hiking is in forests, so I'd only do those in groups, but no more!

Please read the instructions. I believe that spray should be pre-sprayed and not touching your skin. I have been buying it for a few years now. Just double-check for your protection.

Once you create an intimate relationship with that girl you talk to in your head you can then let go of all fear worry and wonder😮 your higher self through your neurological system is what makes us feel icky and the momentum of anxiety ensues😮 once you learn to clear the channel from your head to your gut of all worry Wonder the crap you hear on the news from your relatives your neighbors your friends once you let go of all of that and I mean 100% you then have actual freedom😮 people don't understand when you put the worry up front and you make your heart rate go up and you start sweating and then the next thing you know you're in a full-on anxiety attack if there is something to be concerned with you won't be able to feel the warning from your higher self cuz you got all this crap going on😮 once you learn to do this and it does take some practice you simply then move forward playing red light green light with the important things in life😮 every night before I go to bed I stand at the dog door and I say out loud three times that I'm safe to leave the dog door open😮 I stand there for a moment and I feel my gut does it feel warm and fuzzy or do I get a sense of dread😮 my higher self knows what kind of Critters are in the neighborhood😮 if I feel warm and fuzzy I leave the dog door open and go to bed if I get a sense of worry then I know to close the door😮 you also want to learn about your bandwidth in the Law of Attraction what you fear you create😮 we don't have a heartbeat we have a heart frequency and that frequency goes up and down and strength depending upon where you are on the emotional scale😮 you can even ask your primary care physician is it true that a flu bug frequency is quite a bit lower than that of a happy healthy content human😮 it is scientifically impossible for a flu bug to raise its frequency up to the human😮 it is only the human with their stinking thinking negative thoughts lower their bandwidth down to where the bugs are😮 every thought and emotion above contentment brings health wealth and abundance in all forms😮 every thought and emotion blow contentment brings all those things the majority of humanity is focused on and getting more of😮❤❤❤ happy travels happy hiking

Thanks for sharing and the encouragement. As a Black Liberation & Trauma Healing coach for Black women, I agree with what you shared. I wish it were simply inner child healing, but it is so much deeper. My fear has everything to do with the historical trauma of violence inflicted on my ancestors;the continued violence against Black people;😢 the lack of respect, regard & protection of Black women; and the fact that hiking is still a very whitewashed recreational activity because of our complicated relationship with wooded areas & the Jim Crow era. Also, the violence of being tracked, trapped, & killed in the woods/ forests is still deeply engrained in our psyche due to epigenetics. Additionally, Jim Crow laws made it hard for Black people to reclaim our relationship with Mother Nature when we weren't allowed to enjoy local, state & national parks. Again, thanks for the beautiful encouragement!

@@LibertySerenity our past is like a bag of marbles in our pocket. You can take them out and play with them and reactivate them as often and for as long as you choose. Or you can live in the now for there is no in between. Don't know if you've ever read Louise Hayes book called heal your life but if you Google Louise Hay Heal Your Life PDF of physical conditions. A link called Alchemy of healing should pop up if you click on that link a six-page list in alphabetical order of every physical condition known to man kind and the emotional cause behind it. People ignore especially Western medicine and Western people ignore the pronunciation and the definition of the word disease. Every time you activate those marbles you activate disease within your body. Mr Jim is dead and gone but apparently he still creating disease. Happy travels
