It were so good to meet you last week in beautiful Marple, we liked it that much we were looking on rightmove for possibilities. As I told you Angus the Scottie gave me THOSE eyes and probably had more than us two of your wonderful cale....2 softies. I went to Buxton a few years ago and couldn't believe the local people queuing to fill their bottles! A beautiful part of the country. As I said after I'd ordered the pre order, without your posts of your adventures during my darkess days of lodging, I am not entirely sure how I would have coped. I was housed - 60 years old - into senior living as made homeless on 12 January (not my fault). I am looking forward to baking with my grandchildren once the book arrives. Then I can post our cakes. Love seeing how William's vocabulary is progressing, his pronunciation is fabulous! little cutie-pie 💜 Little story for you: when my 30 year old son was little I made cup cakes for him to take to the infant school fete, however, when they came out of the oven we decided they were biscuits!!🤭 I'm hoping for better things from your book😋 so I'll let you know 😊

Another great video. Thank You for your little tour of Buxton. Im an Aussie and hubby is English. I love England after my 2012 visit and enjoy the History of the Towns and the beautiful Countryside. Congrats on the book! Well done! On the water issue - that's why they make you do those courses to make you fear everything they don't control. The water tank comes out of our taps is toxic and they try to convince us its safe and effective and to be fearful of everything else. When you've seen a 15 page report that your local water supplier has given you with the list of chemicals in it you'd think twice about drinking it I can assure you. And PS those bottled waters are just as bad. Keep up the great work ❤

I can hardly wait until our friend in Norwich gets her copy of the cookbook. We've only been able to enjoy her baking via Instagram posts so far, but we are planning a trip across the pond to visit (but alas, not for a year and a bit). Sure hoping we will get to sample some of your recipes when we land. Planning on renting a narrowboat for a week or so, so might even be able to sample your wares in person. Congratulations Jo on your cook book!! So proud of you! You had me chuckling "I just can't drink water out of a wall!"...I hear you!! Me either!! I just watched an episode from right before you had William and you made a casserole type recipe. It looked liked sliced potatoes but couldn't see what else was in the dish...it was made in a white round dish...looked like possibly a little gravy that the potatoes were cooked in...would love that recipe if you could remember it...I believe you referred to it as a "pie". Joe, personally I can't wait for my copy and again thank you for the great effort is has taken you as an extremely busy working mum. WIlliam is becoming so funny as he takes it all in and picking up on words, which takes any parent back which it will you later. When Nestle bought Buxton Water they turned of the water at the outlet that you visited, after Outrage and and a Massive Petition they turned it back on

I think they are working on an online version. My Daughter lives in Vancouver and postage is very expensive.I knitted her some items which were not even 100gms in weight cost more than triple the yarn but as it was her request from me I couldn't say know.I've sent small baby blankets I make and the postage is triple the yarn.

I really can’t wait for my copy to arrive, I have only ever really used BeRo recipes or Mary Berry, your cakes always look delicious, so I will eventually bake my way through your book. All my kids have flown the nest now and live away, so I will have to send them cakes in the post. I have always been a home baker making cakes etc not buying and my kids all bake even my son he bakes bread. 4 more cook books I could order one for each. Further down the line. Have a great weekend. I've BeRo from 1974 still use it and Mary Berry from 1984 plus numerous cake decorating books.I used to Cake decorate and create such lavish Celebration cakes but you can't beat a good Victoria Sandwich! Now my Daughter is a Deputy Head Chef she creates the lovely mouthwatering cakes when not working.

@@elizaphe58 it’s wonderful when your babies grow up into fine adults. All my kids could cook before they left home good home cooking and baking. Each one has a specialty. They were very popular in uni, not many could cook nowadays. You must be very proud. X

@@lyndamcdougal3300 I've 9 children but I was brought up old school taught to sew knit crochet and cook and bake from about 6 years old onwards by my Mum and Grandmother.9 children 10 Grandchildren yes I am proud of them all they all love cooking etc. I've Son in law in Canada a Chef who appears on TV at times. Another Son in Law a Chef for a big Restaurant Pub Chain in UK. Even the Son's and Daughter's in laws can cook etc and create lovely meals too.

I tried 3 times last year to get moored at Whaley Bridge, with no luck. Still I stayed couple of times at Bugsworth Basin which I found very much to my taste.

I'd love to buy your cookbook and would if the freight / postage wasn't dearer than the book itself. It comes to over AUD$76 which, sadly, as a pensioner couple, we cannot afford. If you can find a cheaper means of getting it to Australia, I'm still for one.

Buxton water co takes there water from that tap way below Buxton they were in the town but moved to a new bigger site just outside Buxton. Carry on the good work, if i had known you were in Whaley Bridge or Furness Vale i would have come to see you. Cheers all the best keep William chattering haha.
