6:50 OMG!! I can totally relate to this ! My brother and I are from SL and he's married to a foreigner, and we had the same issue when we went to Sigiriya with my parents several years ago... It's just insane. My brother was obviously offended but my mum did most of the arguing with the ticket folks... You know how mums are 😂😅
Super amazing driving from Kandy to Kataragama! Thank you for spotlighting Sinhale Ella which I’ve never heard of. Two sweet tuskers succumbed to electric shock from crazy fences at Thabbowa today. It’s people’s dimwitted behaviour with feeding that makes these lone elephants look for food by the side of that road. Hope your wounds have healed and you are back to your bubbly health. Take care. Have a good week L&L
It’s very sad that people are feeding the elephants, I wish people could understand the correct way in which to respect wildlife so as not to cause any disruption 🙏
That sounds like a fantastic ride! I truly appreciate your sentiment that the joy lies not just in reaching the destination but in the entire journey. I believe this philosophy applies to our life journey as well-kudos to those words of wisdom. I've been to Dunhinda Falls, and the path to reach it involves a challenging hike. It's impressive that you're not afraid of leeches-great attitude!
The elephant we filmed was not that bad, she was our second encounter. The first one we didn’t have chance to film as it al happened so quickly and we were literally so scared for our lives. I will never drive down the B35 road again 🙈
What an amazing video, so interesting and stunning scenery. Must say you were both very brave to go down into those caves and I should imagine the water was extremely cold. Well done for taking the plunge 😆👏
Lucie eat 4 Neem leaves everyday and you will not get sick. Neem keeps your bones, nails and hair very strong. It has amazing antioxidants and your body will be very healthy. Also get tumeric powder put water in it. Make small balls out of the paste, put in a container with a lid. Swallow three tumeric balls with warm water on empty stomach first thing in the morning. Take Neem leaves at same time. You and your precious husband will always be healthy. Enjoy your Tuk Tuk group challenges.❤❤❤❤❤
Wow! Wow! Wow! Lucie and Lahiru you are amazing! You are such a brave girl to take this daredevil challenge! I would have died a thousand times before I ventured out on such a dangerous expedition. You have some guts to go past that elephant and to venture into hell's hole. Anyway now that its over I wish you and Ru all the best and I do hope you win the tournament. May GOD bless you. ❤
I watch all your videos as soon as you upload them. I've subscribed to only your channel among Sri Lankan channels because I feel you are a genuine personality without any showoff. I especially enjoy your travel videos, and I even commented on your honeymoon series because I enjoyed it so much. Your travel series is on another level. Please be careful when you embark on adventures. I love you both so much. I'm pursuing a degree, and your videos help me release stress. Watching your videos has become my favourite thing, and when I watch your travel videos, it feels like I'm on the journey with you. I love you so much and hope to see you two one day!
Lucie and Lahiru, your challenge is truly a great success, well done. You are already my favorite winners !! 😊 Beautiful, amazing and fun vlog, merci for all this ❤
Lucie and Lahiru, This is amazing walking down in the caves and a swim in the underground pool wow and only walking in flip flops and driving around elephants Thanks so Much for Sharing this Trip Best Wishes love from Australia 😍🇦🇺💙🙏
That's good that you made the people who come to enjoy understand to keep the environment clean and to take away the rubbish thank you Lucy ❤ participation is very important win or lose be in the game stay blessed 🙏
Each day only one thing I have to say Love this journey... Really love your guys life style and simplicity..❤❤ Seeing the sri lanka as you guys do not a possible thing for uss... Love this attitude and love this happiness
As usual, a great experience watching you both ttavelling around SL. I don’t know if I would ever have been brave enough to go down the hole though, but the pool was gorgeous and deserves to be lit, it probably has fluorescent deposits that would show up beautifully. Maybe not so many people brave that ‘trip’ but all of the tunnel could also benefit from lighting too! Hope you have recovered now. I think that elephant was just curious, wasn’t it? It really was quite magnificent. I enjoyed hearing Lahiru encouraging you to drive past and thought what he really wanted to do was give it a pat on its trunk to say hi!
Looking back now, I don’t know how I did the cave… guessing it was the adrenaline of the game that got me through it 😛 the first elephant we didn’t catch on video, it al happened too quickly and we were more concerned about our safety than the filming at the time, but I so wish we had captured that exact moment and swinging the tuktuk around in a flash! The second elephant was cute, seemed to be a older lady who was waiting patiently for passers by food 🙈
Journey is what's important and awareness 🙏 You two are an inspiration to all of us. Lucie you sound sick. Hope you are taking care of yourself. Whenever you eat rice have a couple of red raw onions chewing it thoroughly with your mouth closed. It's an antioxidant which take away germs and viruses. And also hot cups of "samahan" before bed. Take care of your lungs. May The Triple Gem Bless you two on this journey 🙏❤️❤️❤️ P.S. What a narrow escape from that huge elephant😮 Those drone shots are epic Lu and Ru 😊 keep it up. The tuk tuks look like "dinky toys" from up the drone shots, and cute.❤
You are a such a positive brave girl Lucy, with a equally positive brave husband Lahiru. I wont do that is a million years.Lucy what happened to your sensible shoes? Have you embraced the Srilankan way of climbing and hiking is flip flops??? Well done you two.
I don’t recommend hiking in this cave with flip flops on, that’s for sure! 🙈 but the guides didn’t say anything and we hadn’t done any research at all, as well as it being very rushed and a spare of the moment thing 😂
Hi Lucy, It was Kathirkamam. Their is a Lord murugan Temple the history from prehistoric time. That was the reason Kathirkamam became a famous place. Now it has been changed and hid by new buddah viharai Not kaththri kama it has another name, and history has been changed for political reasons even buddah sitting next to the murugan in many areas of the temple. soon he will be out and somewhere under the tree These areas were full of tamil people who had lived until 1975 .
Hey Lucie, We are coming to Sri Lanka and I know you're an animal lover and I wanted to ask you if Udawalawe National park was Elephant friendly.. We'd love to see Elephants in a natural environment but want to avoid anywhere that is detrimental to their happiness. Any advice you have would be amazing. Thanks in advance! : )
So exciting! Uduwalawe is one of our fav national parks, we had the best experience there. I’d say where ever you go, just make sure the driver understands the limits, keeping distance and not to overstay the visits to each elephant group 😊
