I grew up with the exact same nonsense in the '70, except then it was an inevitable ice age by 2000. In the 30's it was global warming again, pointing to the then shrinking ice caps and inordinately high temps that caused the American dust bowl. Except now the temperature graphs of those time periods suddenly don't show any of that. They used to, we used to discuss them (and worry about them) all the time. Funny how those temp graphs don't show them anymore.
