Never understood why Fact decided to end their career as a whole, they were perfect. The latest songs so far were great. Fact I want you to know, we miss you
As I see it: the day Adam joined the band, they probably decided to get somewhat higher in terms of popularity and financial gain. This genre is pretty niche, perhaps half of the band agreed on some changes, the other half wanted to continue compose their stuff the way they've been doing for years. It's just a thought. I know Adam is a great musician (his vocal range is pretty unique), but to me he’s still an apple of discord. I can’t help it but to think he’s been extremely divisive. So far I liked SHADOWS, a lot actually, but it’s definitely not their wholesome form, they’ve gone deeply into hardcore, whereas being in FACT that wasn’t their main route.
+shadowback Interesting. I know people say that Adam might've been the reason for creative tension beginning, but I really don't think Witness was that much of a departure for them. Sure, it is different, but it still retains the FACT sound that they always had through previous style changes. And then KTHEAT came out, which shows that they didn't give a fuck about becoming more commercial or anything. I really can't come to a conclusion on why they broke up. However, I am thankful that Adam was a part of FACT, not only because I like most of his contributions musically, but also because he translated all the lyrics properly, making the band a whole lot more accessible (and meaningful) to western fans.
I've come to live defensively, without my realizing it I'm just like a bird buried in drowning mud It's a matter of time Before I'm exhausted I know, I know Before I'm exhausted Soon smoke changed it's own color and I fade into the darkness I return to the earth and make closure there Before I'm exhausted I know, I know Before I'm exhausted
I remember hearing this and seeing this vid about 6 years ago (might even be on this channel) and have been listening to them and following them ever since. So, thanks to the uploader!
The fiery of old Rise Against. The emo-tinged riffs and vocals of Funeral For A Friend. The technicality of the instruments of Protest The Hero. Make it Asian. *POOF* You get the perfect band, FACT. Anyway, anyone spotted the sick guitar swing at 0:50 ? Truly underrated band. \m/
