I'm just getting into this podcast and I gotta say, it makes me really happy to listen to fellow gaming parents. It's a perspective that I haven't encountered enough on RU-vid. My kids are 5 and 8 and they are SO much fun to game with. We've even started making games together, it's just the best. The content of this episode was phenomenal, thank you all so much!
Great episode and guest! Love that he gave you all your flowers, you deserve it. I feel seen when I watch your content. I won't say my age... but I'm Gen X and play games with my kids and on my own to unwind. Now after COVID I'm more apt to share with another lady colleague or an associate that I play video games and I'm still always a little surprised when they say "me too!" Your voices are so needed in this space. We may not be the most vocal segment of the gaming community on the internet, but we're here. Appreciate your content, thank you!
One question I would ask the non-gamer gamer is "How would you describe a game?" I have a few friends like this that, they play games but dont consider themselves as "gamers" because of the games they play.
Since humans are born and die regularly, dont you think that the number of players will plateau at some point? Just like companies cant see profits for an unlimited amount of times, I feel like at some point the number of players will eventually plateau and we will need to see a decrease in players before we see another increase.
Would gaming voters really feel like a politician is "one of them" if they schedule an event in Fortnight or would they just see it as pandering for votes by doing whats cool?
I think that largely depends on the politician and how the event is carried out. Many folks see any type of voter event as pandering and there isn't much to be done about that. -AR
