Facts about the 7 Churches of Revelation! Ephesus was a diligent church that rejected false doctrines, but it had also lost its first love and needed to return to its initial works. Smyrna was a church that endured great suffering for Christ's sake, and its members had to remain faithful even unto death amidst persecution. Pergamum was a church that demonstrated faith in Christ, but it also tolerated idolatry, heresies, and immorality, and thus needed to repent. Thyatira was a loving, patient church that practiced good deeds, but it also needed correction as it allowed idolatry and immorality.

Sardis was a church with some loyal believers, but overall, it was a dead church that required repentance and strengthening. Philadelphia was a faithful, obedient church that sought to honor Christ.
