hello! this is my first tutorial so please bear with me as i figure things out!
this was requested through instagram, however, if you want to request any tutorials you want me to do, leave them in the comments!
if you are confused at any point, also feel free to leave a comment i will try to help you out as best as i can!
and yeah that's pretty much it i hope you enjoy the video yee yee

a couple things: -at 2:01 i meant to say HIGHLIGHT AND COPY KEYFRAMES -i use a windows computer and i'm pretty sure if you're on mac: ctrl = cmd & alt = option? (not sure on that one correct me if i'm wrong)

I usually type something , precomp it , add motiontile and make a mask and keyframe the path

or! you could just use motion tile for the text, then create a new solid, double click the rectangle button, and change the feather to like 200, unlink the scale, stretch it horizontally, keyframe the solid thingy to go from up to down, and change the text track matte (make sure the solid layer is above the text)

@@gxth.gxddess Mask feather. Select the solid layer then press "m" and you can find it under the mask setting.

if y'all dont need that effect of opacity, u can just put the texts to the center of the composition and u pre-compse them and change the position

btw you can't find the font nexa bold on dafont.com sadly

at minute 2:17, when you drag the keyframes, i tried to do it but they move all together, without extending the distance. what have I done wrong?

yunca hold alt and drag the furthest right keyframe and it should work fine!!

Doodle Nat did you make sure that the layer is visible and that you masked the picture above the text layer?

I think when you mask it you have to make sure all the mask points are linked together

Matilde Nunes you should be able to type it in on effects, and then drag it onto the layer you want to use it on :)

Kels Saw there should be a panel on the side with the effects n stuff that says align and if you click the ones with the line going through the middle of the box you should be able to center the text (make sure you have the text layer selected as a whole bc it won’t work while you’re still typing)
