Dileesh pothans most of the films are around common people. He finds different ways how these so called common man react according to the situations there are put in. No mass dialogues, no super hero fights, jst plain life of an average human being...and what all changes that can happen to this person according to the situations they are placed in the movie...and dileesh is a master class in it...

The only actors who have fan clubs in malaylam cinema are Mohanlal and Mammooty. Apart from these 2 toxic fan associations, Malayalam cinema is free from this culture which is an import from neighbouring Tamil Nadu. Thankfully, Directors and writers have a commanding presence in malayalam cinema.

Underrated? I'm from Andhra, and when Prakash Raj acted in Bollywood, North people started saying the same, "underrated". We are worlds apart, and exposure in Bollywood is not a benchmark for South actors. Just as Prakash Raj is a household name in Andhra, FaFa is also a household name in Kerala and some other neighbouring states. I've been watching his movies for the last 1 year with subtitles, also, some of my friends know him. He's definitely not underrated.

Malayalam cinema has produced some of the finest actors in the past in the 80s & 90s who were simply world class many of the people of this generation do not know coz there were no digital media platforms or cable & satellite televisions some of the greatest actors n film makers belong to that era. I really wished there were digital media back then & people wouldn't have missed hundreds of great Malayalam films & innumerable performances from several actors from Malayalam cinema.
