We start in Safaga at the hotels Kairaba Aqua Mondo Abu Soma Resort and Amarina Abu Soma Resort & Aquapark and drive towards the old town, downtown and the port of Safaga and back again. It's Sunday lunchtime and, as usual, many shops here are open. The trucks are piled up at the port and are waiting to be unloaded. We stop twice at the sea and on the way back at Cafe El Sahaa, where we also drove past on the way there. The Tobia Hotel, where we drive briefly into the small street, people who live in Egypt can use the facility and the beach for 5.00 euros a day. In the background you can see the red mountains from which the Red Sea takes its name, among other things. Safaga has around 50,000 inhabitants in 2024 and is located 60 km south of Hurghada. In Safaga, the many tour groups and travelers from the country meet in buses and cars to travel together in a convoy to the Nile Valley and Luxor.
