Some people use tools so crudely as to make make pliers look like mining equipment, but you manage to make this multi-tonne behemoth look like tweezers. Absolutely awe-inspiring. Chapeau, my friend! Subscription VERY well earned!
I love that you can literally see the outline of the pond in the forest from the difference in canopy alone. Still blows my mind that a drone can fly that high up and still be in range of the remote. I love living in the future!
"It Gonna Piss Somebody Off" That is a sure Bet with All the KAREN and DAREN in the world today. I miss the Day when "Live and let Live" was the way most of us all "lived".
Until someone understands, I don't care what their names are. Fixing something that was done wrong years ago, involves things that some won't like. I use to think to myself, "LetsDIG18" is deforesting the world, 1 Tree at a time! I no longer think that way. He is very calculating on what he takes down. Let's be honest..he bids a job and doesn't want to spend any time at the job site any longer than he has to. I can feel his pain at times.
@@Delekham as far as the lake states go, they are growing trees faster than we are harvesting them. Look up the city of lacrosse in Wisconsin. Years ago is was a prairie. Now its a forest.
The most favorite thing that I love to watch you do is Ponds and pond damsons when you dredge a pond. I hope they let you clear all of the surrounding trees so it makes a prettier pond and won’t be as much debris get in the pond🥰
The turtle will live like a king. Chris you so fast. In mere hours the pond shows up. This pond looks like it's going to be a nice deep one. Boat and dock ? Thank you for showing the beginning.
Kinda reminds me of the pond I hung around at growing up. The guy who owned and built it installed seawalls for a living. The banks were fairly steep and the pond was deep. He said at max fill depth he sat a 30ft cause he wanted to stock it with trout. He installed a pump that would draw water from the river behind the pond since the pond was way higher than the river so the only other way it would fill was by rain. He would fill the pond throughout the year and couple of shallow temporary duck/geese ponds that would be flooded for hunting. He had put in a small beach area with two telephone poles sticking out of the bank as a dock. My siblings and I with our friends discovered the pond while exploring the river and the owner was cool with us using his pond and property which gave us somewhere to ride our dirt bikes and four wheelers cause we lived on the edge of town with not much ride on. Unfortunately he was retiring and his was health wasn't in good shape from years of excessive drinking and ended selling the property, shop and all the equipment he had accumulated over the decades and passed with a massive heart attack.
Just sitting here wondering to myself ?? why so many would come on here , watch the video, then give it a "Thumbs Down" ?? You know what the Hell Chris does for a living, it ain't like he's gonna change his job just to suit somebody, if that what these "Thumbs Down" people are waiting for !! Just smdh !!! Anyway , Got a Great start on it Chris !! Man ,that dam is really steep !! Shit !! It's gonna need to be soften for sure don't ya think ?? lolol...geez...lolol...Great as always Man !! Have a Great 4th. Chris !! On too the Next....
Please do a follow up on this pond job. It would be great to see some of your past jobs that have transformed from the construction phase to the desired finished project the customer was looking for.
Really enjoyed this video,so nice to see a professional at work that knows what he is doing.it will be beautiful I’m sure when it is completed.great beginning to project.👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
Loved seeing the aerial view, couldn't tell there was a pond there from the ground. It's going to awesome when it's all done, can't wait to see it completed.
I've been watching your channel for years. That's the first pond dam I've seen where you're in the treetops. Love the video and can't wait for the rest of this project. Happy 4th of July!!
I have to admit you get into some of the doggonest jobs I have ever seen seems like you do more than you need to in a lot of them just to make people happy but you do do a great job❤
Maybe it’s the perspective but that looks like it’s got the potential to be a deep pond! As for the dam! No wonder it failed, looks like nothing more than a wall of dirt.
I have a small pond in my back yard. It’s called Lac Seoul.150 miles long,560sq miles, and 3000 miles of shore line. One of the best walleye lakes in Ontario Canada.Shore line could use some clean up if you have a couple free weekends.😂😂
Just drop off a family of beavers. They will have that built in no time! It is amazing how fast trees grow back in North Carolina! I had trees growing back just a few weeks after clearing home pads.
Seems to be nicer going when it's dry like that. Looks like it's going to be really a nice pond and surrounding area when you put your touches on it!👍🙂
Yeh, a new pond project, well, an “old is new again pond” project. Those pond banks are so steep, not friendly at all. The dam is very high but not constructed properly. Looking forward to following the progress Chris. Take care & cheers from 🐨🦘🤓👍🏼
I think I'm in safe territory saying North Carolina is really, really pretty country. So incredibly green, with trees that have reddish bark and the reddish soil in so many places...it's really something.
In the mid 80s we drilled 2 wells and only got half a gallon a minute on both. Had to put in holding tanks. This is NW Arkansas. I would love to have 40 gal a minute.
Lol, funny you said that. I'm in Tennessee and was thinking the same thing. The extra cost, lodging, eating, etc would be a little expensive but, I won the lottery, who cares.
This is going to be another great project with some possible surprises,,,,,,,. The steep drop offs are so the rope swing works better! Put an awesome zip line on the back of the pond,,,,,,. I’m in!! I’m old, but I’m still in on this!! Haha. You will make this one great as well, I’m sure. It will be a deeper pond than you maybe usually do Chris. I like that, for some reason I like a deeper pond. Where I live it sure helps keep the algae in control,,,,, somewhat. We need deeper ponds wit some shallower flats due to the ice we get as well as the species of fish. If you go with trout, they need the depth and cooler waters a deeper more massive pond can offer. The heat we have been having here, the trout could start developing these nasty blisters on them by late July or early August. If you go with pike and walleye, they both need the depth to get away from the warm waters as well, but they tolerate the heat better. Doesn’t matter, because you can develop awesome Bass or sunfish/crappie ponds!! We just don’t have them here, they are considered invasive here in southern Alberta, in fact I think all of Alberta. Three weeks of anticipation!! Like others have said,,,,, it is going to be a significant burn pile!!
This will definately be another challenge for you. I'm looking forward how Chris aka the master of ponds will manage all the uncertainties of this project.
Looks like ist gonna be another good transformation. More fire piles for burning videos cant wait To See another burning video. Chris always has a great Plan for Pond Transformations. Cant wait Top See the finish if it .
If you threw a rock, it wouldn't make it to the bottom without bouncing off a dozen saplings. A person would have to clear a path first if they wanted to fall and land on the bottom!
I watched my first video almost exactly 1 year ago. It was the one where Chris had his new Volvo delivered. I subscribed shortly after and I think there were 302k subscribers at that point. This channel is awesome!
New Mexico called & said they'll gladly take a couple of feet of your rain any time this year. My mate says it's worse there now than it was 2003-2005.
