Clarification regarding my opinion on One with Death: Its not worth it. In a lot of games when playing Death Guard with a Backlash focussed deck you will find yourself in the need of putting units on the board, especially in Typhon when you use your early game to draw using your warlord ability. Therefore wasting 5E worth of tempo is really not a good idea, as it can lead to you getting ran over pretty quickly. "But you can resolve cards like the 5/5 Stun guy more often!" You can also simply play one of them for 5E on the same turn you would have played One with Death instead, leads to the same result. "It makes Succumb to Decay absolutely broken!" Yes, BUT: you waste 5E worth of tempo on the card. Afterwards you need to be able to a) play a troop + Succumb + manual trigger to really abuse it, and that is not something you are going to be able to do before 10E or with a significant amount of E manipulation b) if you already got a troop chances are your opponent is already on the backfoot, meaning not that many troops to steal in the first place, therefore it is better to push your advantage by developing tempo to end the game relatievly quickly from that position "You don't need to play it if the tempo loss kills it, just keep it in your hand and wait" You do realize that this is essentially just wasting a slot in your hand on a card that, by this definition, is a "win more" card? The way I see it the card does nothing useful in a majority of matches, can be taken advantage of relatively easy nowadays and overall does nothing in a non-winning position, which is exactly the kind of position you either want to get out of using your deck or avoid getting into in the first place. One with Death does neither of these things. Tldr, the card is awful the same way that Death of Innocence is awful. You are actively making your deck worse by running it.
Agree completely. One thing that I found myself getting away with was Forge Complex Magnus back in the day, since you could swing back Tempo with ashen blow.
Worldbreaker was my firsylt legendary and I won't stay for this slander. On more serious note it hardcounters any decks centered around warlord like Khan or Exodus
I like one with death but only in my typhon deck and I realize I can't play that card everytime i have it in my hand, So I agree overall with your statement but one with death is too funny as a card when you manage to resolve a mortem lamentia
it just sucks in general I'm afraid the effect is so minor that its really not worth the 5E you waste on it, even if you can play it on the 5E turn immediately or even play it a turn early with Drill (if your deck runs Drill even)
