I love your 'what I eat in a days!' the way you film them and how you make them so entertaining! all of your videos are so so good, it is very clear how much effort you put into them. Your editing is always on point, and your just very lovely to watch! thank you for representing a more balanced realistic vegan diet xx
I hope you get a chance to see this. I've been watching your videos for a very long time now. I've had two channels here and I've always been subscribed to you. You've inspired me so much because I also deal with depression and anxiety. Well I wanted to tell you that I recently found out that I was having a baby girl. My husband and I decided to name her after you!!! I love who you are and we both have a lot of the same values. Thanks so much for inspiring not only me but I'm sure a lot of your subbies 😘😍
I'm a new vegan and I used to watch your hair dying videos. I remembered from before that you were also a vegan... And watching you now....I have a whole new appreciation for not just your hair but your lifestyle and I can relate to everything you talk about :) thank you for your inspiring channel :) xxx
Thank you for posting today. I got switched around on my schedule and missed work as a result, and I'm one more mistake away from getting fired. This helped me dodge a full-on panic attack or worse, so thank you so much for being you.
I love your what I ate videos ♥ The way they are more vlog-ey rather than just pure shots of food is very nice and more interactive in a way♥ sending hugs to both you and alex and also ratties
Every single video you post I find myself sitting here smiling so massively watching it, you have a way of making me feel nice and happy. Whenever I see a new video from you Im like right, stop everything im doing, get a snack and sit down and enjoy! Im always anxious my sound is too loud so my houemates can hear me listening to youtube stuff for some reason but with yours im like nope i dont even care full sound im gonna enjoy this to the max! Hahah i hope im making sense. I love your presence and your voice.
If you ever run of lip balm again, you can just use coconut oil! Another good tip to get the dead skin off is coconut oil and granulated sugar mixed together and used as a lip scrub - that's basically what the lush lip scrubs are made with + flavouring :-)
I'm in the US and I didn't know that the Reese's Puffs were vegan!! I will definitely try them out now, thank you! I really liked this video, and your hair looks great!!
I am not a vegan, not a native speaker, I am much older than you, I am a scholar - and I love your videos. You are fabulous. Keep going, and may everything be wonderful for you and Alex. Cheers! :)
I've really been loving the new look to your videos these few months :) and that face you made when you had your first swipe of lip balm was hilarious!
Hi Kiera! I actually follow a pretty simple recipe when making Mac and cheese, I didn't like the Jamie Oliver's one at all! Here's the one I always follow and both me and my boyfriend love so much: 1 cup potatoes 1 cup carrots 1/2 onion 1 cup raw cashews 2 tbsp lemon juice 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp mustard 1 garlic clove 1/4 cup nutritional yeast 3/4 cup vegetable cooking water You basically cook the veggies (potatoes, carrots and onion) until soft, put them in a blender along with other ingredients and blend, blend, blend! You might adjust it to your taste, I feel like I always change something or add something and it never ever turned out badly. Let me know if you ever try it! x
I think these videos are really inspiring because I never really have any inspiration when it comes to cooking so if you don't know what kind of videos to make I would really like more of these :)
Hi Kiera! I was wondering if you could enable the option to add captions? I would love to add them for myself and others who need them but its up to you to enable this feature. Thank you!!
You should try the mock duck in the tins too! At first I was put off by the tin and how it kinda reminded me of SPAM, but its actually really good! Usually sold in HB.
My fave mac and cheese: ( just the cheese sauce - Also rather healthy ) 1.Boil 1 potato + one small onion till super soft ( I don't peel as I'm too lazy, chop it up to make this process quicker) 2.Take off heat + pour out majority of water till 1 inch is left in the bottom of the pan ( let cool slightly so you don't kill your blender) 3. pop in blender with 1 tsp dijon mustard, 4 tbsp nutritional yeast, dash of siracha + add veg stock till you get consistency wanted. ( season with salt and pepper - taste along the way) super easy, use however you like... I would add this to the pasta how you did with the breadcrumbs! Add more nutritional yeast for extra cheezyness. xx
For the mac & cheese, try to let the coconut oil completely melt down, then add a smaller amount of flour little by little slowly. Once you've done that keep stirring gently to let the flour taste cook out for a minute or two! Since you're making the food with vegan cheese, you could probably just look at a recipe for a regular non-vegan mac and cheese and copy that (just sub in anything that isn't vegan with something that is). Just because I find vegan recipes sometimes are a little harder to follow? Love your videos, by the way!! You're beautiful and lovely and SO sweet, and Alex is so cute.
I make my cheeze sauce this way: 2 peeled and boiled potatoes 1 peeled and boiled carrot then blend together with 1-2 cloves garlic 2tbsp yellow mustard 3-4 tbsp nutritional yeast salt, pepper, onion powder and tumeric to tast... comes out great every time :)
to make your rue for mac n chz all you need is one tablespoon of butter and melt then add one tablespoon of flour. stir till it makes a ball then add your milk mix until its thick enuf. Then add your cheese. Sometimes I don't add cheese I only put it on top. Hope that helps.
I don't know if you have the brand "Annies" over there like we do in the US but if you can get your hands on some, it's very tasty. It's not like, EXACTLY like mac n cheese but it doesn't lack flavor at all, nice to add in stuff too like hot sauce if you're into that sort of thing. The brand is just called "Annies" and it has a cute bunny logo.
there is a good vegan mac and cheese recipe with blended butternut squash, onions, and barbecue powder! very smooth and not nearly as thick :) Loved your video!
I've made that mac n cheese recipe a few times and it is really thick! it turns out more like a baked casserole. I do find it is better the next day or so after being reheated :) x
i know how you feel! i tried a bosh shepherds pie in oven baked potatoes recipe. It took hours to cook, i spent most of that crying, i was making it to try and prove to my family that vegan food is nice and hey took a lot of persuading to even try it. and hen i went to tasted mine before i gave it to them and i had assumed that because the thing took so long to cook i wouldn't have to preboil the lentils. I offered tidiest scrape the filling out so we could have potatoes, stuffing, gravy and veg but my family realised i put vegan butter in and refused to try it. i was fine with it, i had loads of potatoes, veg and stuffing to eat. Also, im so sorry about the ratios, i have two parrotlets and ones recovering from an infection at the moment. i understand how hard it is x
Hot For Food have a vegan nacho cheese sauce on their RU-vid channel and it is incredible! I use it as a mac and cheese sauce and it's definitely the best one I've had.
+Kiera Rose Omg your Sunday morning is literally the spitting image of my Sunday. I'm up at the crack of dawn, James (my bf) sleeps in and I do wake him up once it gets past that certain point, lol. And than he goes off to the store for all the things I forgot on Friday or Saturday's shopping and he will call and be like they have so and so or what what and yeah......lol....worlds apart girl! Question for you, where do you put your ratties when you clean their cages? Do you have a rolly ball or something or a makeshift cage for them while you clean the main one? Ah well, anyways, happy Sunday!
I'm in love with the new Linda McCartney range, have you tired the pulled chicken?! It's amazing!! I love watching all your videos, I went vegan June last year and It was a real struggle in the beginning but now it feels like second nature! (Thanks to people like you!). 😘
have you tried the buzzed vegan mac and cheese recipe? it's the only one ive tried but it's so good, especially if you add in some lemon juice and nutritional yeast
The Jaime Oliver mac and cheese is soo good, but yeah need to make sure the measurements are correct. Took me a few goes to get the hang of this recipe, but it's soo good :)
