I'm currently a 2nd year in EECS while also double majoring in IEOR. I just wanted to say that this video really lifted up my spirits. The exams are brutal and these lower divs only get harder. I'm planning on taking 61C, 70, and 188 this upcoming semester. But as long as I can persevere and push through, I'll be okay. We're in this together! lol

Thank you for this video. I'm a freshman going into Comp Eng and I felt very similarly about what you said about AP CS A and Frontend vs Backend. Hearing your experience has renewed some hope in continuing my cs journey. Thank you🙏

this is basically the default comp sci experience. I'm nearly in my last semester (currently 5/6) of my comp sci bachelor and i can definitly relate to what you said. Even though I have not failed a single comp sci class, most exams resulted in a B- or a C. However I still think I'm on the better performing / harder working side of students. Furthermore I noticed, since I started working at a software development company, that most of the things thaught in uni did not even come close to being useful at this job. Obv this depends on the job, but I mainly do web projects using Angular and 95% of what I know about this comes from doing coding projects on my own, and not from uni. Still nice to have a comp sci degree I guess, right? cool video, super relatable lol

Thank you for sharing your experience. Honestly grades aren’t super deterministic for industry success. I am also a CS major in Berkeley and a junior. My grades have been pretty strong and I do projects outside the class, but I am absolutely failing the internship search. Keep up the great work.

@@gameacc6079 I don’t agree with that. She seemed pretty strong in industry.

Hey, I'm a junior in high school who just got a C my first semester of computer science A. I honestly thought that it was over for me because of this, but this video really motivated me because of how successful you are. Do you have any advice for me going forwards? Thank you!

I had exactly same situation as you. I never wanted to do CS, and didn't understand anything.
