I was always so confused by the essay questions. I'd see this space under the question that was three inches max and wonder if the teacher really wanted a whole essay with multiple paragraphs and how I was supposed to write a whole essay in that three inch space in just a few minutes.

We would boycott stores that had a loyalty program... Well, "persons" IS the proper way. "People" is supposed to refer to a group, like "the American People". However, the use of "people" in the modern sense started as slang, but has since become acceptable. Kinda like the word "snuck". Language follows usage.
