Dang this was an awesome set, shuriken is so good against steve it's ridiculous, I love Beatybean's playing ALOT, but I do have a question Why did Beaty wait so long when steve was behind his wall? I know steve can hit you through the wall so you gotta be careful and mixup your approach/timing, but swordie has amazing tools for breaking blocks, (dtilt, power thrust) I feel like waiting there for steve to get his resources is what made Beaty lose, cus then steve got diamond and got early cheese kills, personally I don't really see any reason to wait that long there, but again, still loved Beaty's playing this was a great set 🤙
Its really brilliant Beatybean. I main the character so I see meta when I see builds and you have a very strong unique build. If I may analyse this. The build comits to Shuriken of Light more than any other build I have seen. Options that are there for gale stab to hit aren't missed opportunities because you can fill that gap by returning to a strong and overwhelming shuriken of light strategy waiting for your opportunity to blow them up. And you have Air Assault which has amazing stock claiming power second to blurring blade for us. The omnidirectional recovery is a must running AAssault but its well known your side b with skyward slashdash up b is the most dependable recovery we have---you can get back from almost anything. MSF is the heaviest mid-weight and you have leveraged mii swordfighters recovery and zoning to the max---and that just happens to be very lethal. Great job.
I'd say it's less that he commits more to shuriken because it's his build and more because it's the best projectile at Sword fighters disposal to pressure Steve into forcing an option.
Nothing makes me more sad about the smash ultimate scene than seeing someone play their heart out only for steve to privilege his way past them anyways. Im so glad Idaho banned that buggy yet over tuned mess.
