Failure of Water Based intumescent coating - Another example 

The use of water based intumescent coatings is widespread in the Middle East and South Asia due to its competitive loading. But it’s use should be restricted to C3 internal environment. But we very often see Water Based intumescent coatings used in other environments resulting in their failure. This video shows one such application in the Middle East with high humidity in the summer months. The site is not even coastal. It is about 10 - 15 Kms from the coast.
