This is the culmination of an amazing 4 day prospecting trip. It was one of Neil's best Victorian trips on the gold for a little while and he also managed to find a few + gram pieces of gold. Now that’s a video! Amazing! Looks like an awesome spot for the 7 as the majority of the targets were at max depth for the 6. There’s not much better than scraping a “feeling” target and it goes live! Congrats man!!

Thanks James, I gave the 7 a bit of a go and found 1 piece that the 6 would have got anyway, I just missed it. But I feel there would be a big slug in there somewhere..

Awesome work mate 👌 your definitely in tune with that coil. Nice spot you have there thanks for the invite out was an awesome day. That bit i pined, cleaned up and gravity tested at 3.7g would be keen to run the bigger coil next time see what's deeper down 🍻

Thanks, mate. I love ground like that👌. It's not a problem, that's amazing I thought it looked to have some weight to it! We can head back there for sure, I did try the 7 there the other day and just got the one shallow one. I feel there's some big stuff down deep there for sure!

Thanks so much, I still use it but feel I find the deeper ones with the 11 and I much prefer the round coils. I find the others awkward to swing. I started with the 7000 and think I'm just more comfortable with a round coil.

He Lee, thanks for another great video! Helps scratch the itch when prospecting trips are few and far between. Just a quick question, can’t help but notice that you hardly run your 7000 anymore, why is it that you prefer the 6000 over the 7000 apart from the obvious that it is great on tiny gold. Cheers Ben

G'day Ben, I appreciate that mate I'm glad you enjoyed👌. I definitely prefer the 6 but I still run the 7 in certain areas like at this spot. It will be in my next video. That and my shoulder is pretty shot, the 7 seems to agrivate it unfortunately. Cheers.

Do you have any suggestions for what kind of equipment/metaldetector would be good for a hobbyist who want to try search for the first time? price range preferred between 100 - 500 dollar, the most bang for the buck so to speak

There isn't many metal detectors worth buying in that range, you may be able to get a gold monster second hand. The best thing to do would be get a pan and a sluice👍
