Basically within a panic attack, any symptom is perceived as a threat. Instead of saying, hey, I’m dizzy, you think, holy crap, I’m going to pass out.

I’ve struggled with the fear of fainting for over 5 years now, I’m 18 and I’ve missed out on a lot of things because of this fear, it all started when I didn’t eat breakfast one day and I passed out in a store, ever since then I only go out to attend places I have to go too, such as college classes. I feel as this fear has totally taken over my life, I developed an eating disorder because I was scared of my food intake, and whether I was eating the right amount to avoid me passing out. my anxiety causes me to feel faint which then makes me panic more... its horrible. Thank you so much for this video, it makes a lot of sense, I hope when I’m feeling bad again that I’ll remember this and hopefully I’ll stop panicking a lot quicker!❤️

Im going through this too it started last year when i didn't eat before morning classes ( i never usually eat in the morning cause it makes me sick) and then i went to a whole foods to grab some food and that when I started to loose hearing and then i felt so dizzy and then my eyesight just got cloudy i grabbed anything i can and stayed in my car for an hour until i could get my conscious back. Since then, i've been scared to go out in public by myself or feeling stressed about how much i need to eat to feel full all the time because i was so scared of passing out again. So now i have to pack a snack and have water with me every time before I leave the house now which i find it so embarrassing and frustrating because this isn't who i was the year before. 'the year before' me loved to go to concerts or go see a movie. Me now is scared of going anywhere because of what happened last year. I don't know who to turn to or what to do i feel like this battle makes me feel helpless.

I've been thinking about meal prepping to have some of that control back and hopefully this fear will go away but who knows lol

Can I ask if as of now, why are the things that you both doing to counter your panic or anxiety attacks? I always feel dizzy and lost of breath whenever I go outside the house. And because of that I cant go anywhere longer than 5kms because when I try to go that far , I always ending up hyperventilating and feeling that im gonna pass out 😐

It’s an exhausting cycle. I feel weak and faint for most of the day my vision even gets worse. Just a super uneasy feeling all around like I’m just gonna drop dead at any moment. Usually I stay busy throughout the day so I don’t focus on how I feel but it’s hard to ignore once I’m home. Usually anxiety raises my blood pressure but tonight it was pretty low (103/67) and I felt very weak and faint which triggers anxiety..

So hard to deal with in a safety sensitive career like truck driving. Especially being stuck with almost no money because of the low performance and nowhere to go if out of the job. And of course that adds to the anxiety. Went from being able to drive all over the country and over any mountain to feeling uneasy just going up a smaller hill. And of course escape isn't the answer.

I took a long time to get control over it but once I did I felt so great and so confident. I went to the emergency room so many times, went to the doctor for everything. Checked my blood, my heart, even an MRI of my brain.. and somehow I still was convinced that I was sick. It wasn’t until 2 years ago that I gained control and realized that even if the physical symptoms are very real the stress and panic is all in my head because I am totally safe. Recently I have faced more stress from this coronavirus situation and a bad breakup that put me in a bad position once again but I am trying to remember that this is all a mental illness trying to take over. We will overcome this :)

I actually have a long history of passing out. Since sixth grade. I'm now 46. I have suffered from extreme anxiety, panic attacks, and agoraphobic episodes since 15 years old. Even if I use grounding tools to calm myself but still end up fainting even if I'm sitting on the ground. The last time I passed out was at the casino on December 5th, 2020. The doctor in the ER believes that the slot machine triggered a seizure. I haven't gone in to see a neurologist again because I've already been told I don't have Epilepsy even though people tell me I had a seizure. That increases my fear of going out. Any suggestions from anyone?

@@panama2468 you need to find the source of your anxiety and panic attacks in order to deal with them. What is the reason, the why. Figure that out and then when the anxiety hits you again, you can calm yourself by telling yourself the reason of your attack.

@@panama2468 the source of my anxiety was stress, childhood trauma and depression. Learned to accept those and work on my stress. I think i managed to recover in about 1 month after dealing with it for half a year.

Start with the help. Your intentions are put out with good faither, but there is no time for your long-winded diagnosis and explanation when you can't catch your breath, your extremities are tingling from lack of oxygen and you're close to fainting, which is what I did at 1:45. For heaven's sake, honey.

For heaven's sake, honey, start the video by telling someone having a panic attack what to do immediately! 3 minutes in and I passed out. I know what's happening; help me make it stop.

Panic attack it's not going to stop, that's the main mistake we all commit. You have to wait until it's gone, that won't take more than 10 mins and anything bad would happen to you.
