As a teenager we used to get kicked out of that mall for our antics. As a young working adult I bought many tools at that Sears. Sure miss that place. Thanks for the nostalgia!

This mall was near where my grandparents lived, and when I'd visit, we'd occasionally go here. It's been maybe 25 years since I've been in this mall, and I definitely remember those elevators.

Damn I used to shop at the mall back in the good old days before the internet killed everything and Fair Oaks Mall is hanging by a thread and Tysons Corner is the place where everyone goes now. Dulles Town Center is barley Hanging on. Pretty soon all of this will be gone and torn down. Landmark Mall, Ballston Mall, I really loved the music stores Sam Goody, Tower Records, Waxies Maxes and CD Cellar, Borders Book Store, Books N Million and Block Buster. Red Den Video they always sold B movies. I look at this mall and its half dead. I usually shop at Amazon.com or other stores on the internet. They used to have a movie theater at Fair Oaks Mall and Tysons Corner god I miss those days when shopping was fun.

i live in fort myers florida. but through the 90s until about 2000, i lived in fairfax, chantilly, herndon. i frequented this mall often. i still remember in the 90s, going to high school, you were still allowed to smoke in this mall. me and my friends would walk up and down the halls smoking cigarettes, thinking we were cool. haha.

Both macys never closed permanently, they just have really high prices.

I actually came here on Cinco De Mayo day on May 5 of last year in 2018 for only two hours in the morning time when I was visiting there with my Aunt and her husband who lives in Springfield, VA. I live in Glen Burnie, Maryland and the time I went over to my Aunt's and ending up here was the last time I went over to Virginia. I like this mall a little but it's kinda boring when a mall doesn't have a movie theater in it. It's like taking Marley Station Mall(The mall closest to my home) and take the Horizon Cinemas movie theater out of it and you'll get this mall over there lol.
