I had a job where a bloke gave me and 2 others a lift to and from work, ABBA Gold literally never left the CD player, 4 straight blokes all giving it large to ABBA up and down the motorway. Everyone knew every word to every song. I miss it terribly 😭😭😭🤣

the way it works with the one I tried, Im pretty certain there was a magnet or glue or something in/under one of them, and if you knock ALL OF THEM off with 5 balls, you get it. I proved this, me and my friend pitched 5 pounds each, went up to the man running it, and said we will give him 10 POUNDS for him to show us the inside of the cup which I hit and it didnt fall over, he says, Nah mate im busy. THERE WAS NO ONE IN LINE the person doing hook a duck gave the same excuse when we asked the same question (but changed it to show us a duck which wins a prize for £10. Ridiculous.
Years ago at a carnival, I saw one guy trying to knock a stack of blocks off a table. They all had to fall off the table in one throw to win a pocket bike. Dude was absolutely rocketing the soft balls. The person in the booth handed him three more balls, and ran to the corner and covered their head cause he was putting everything into it. On his second throw of the three throws he just bought, the ball came right back at him and smoked him in the face. Dude went wobbly and dazed as hell, but he had one more throw. His buddy gave him the ball and had to hold him upright facing the table because the thrower was borderline concussed lol. Last throw was just a light toss because he was too scared to get hit again.
Yeah, can totally relate. Played a bean bag tossing game just the other day to get my four year old a nice teddy, got a wierd glass coaster/ash tray instead 🤷🏻♂️
As an avid carnival game enjoyer, nothing feels better than being really good at the ring toss and letting your wife walk around all day with a giant elephant pillow-pet that was as big as herself.
I remember when I was with my grandad and (ex royal guard) had a go at one of the festival games at our maypole fairground. He won the big toy, he gave the massive blue gorilla to us grandkids and then was told by the fairground guys who were managing the stall that he was not allowed to play again
I hate rigged carnival games... If I was running a carnival game. I would make it fair by removing the weights in the cans and allow people to use proper leather baseballs. I would also make the prizes worth winning and make every game (with three balls) $1 max so it can be played instead of people not being able to play due to high prices.
Abba Gold is easily the best greatest hits album ever. EVER. Look, I get it, disco is a joke, but when you see those two letters doubled up and arranged in that pattern you better put some respect on 'em.

My sister had a friend who worked at an amusement that told us outright not to waste time on the claw machine because the grip strength of the claw itself was inherently designed to be weaker until ~150 plays.
I went to a fair yesterday that was incredibly well....fair. no pun intended. The dudes running the booths even helped people who were struggling with the games by pretty much showing them exactly how to win the game.
Fun Life Hacks! If you throw the first ball hard enough to go through the particle board wall the thing is set up on, they'll just give you whatever prize you want, if you put the other balls down.
A couple of months ago I went to a fair game with my dad and we played a dart game to try and and win a prize. My dad got a lucky shot and popped 3 balloons with one dart, so he asked for his prize. But the owner of the stand walked up and said it doesn't count because the darts have to stick to the board. My dad just handed back the remaining darts and left extremely pissed.
