Great video, I have these and also a pair of the lace up version (BGV7), both in 14oz. I like the lace ups more, they are more streamlined and more secure. I am waiting for a pair of Adispeed 500 also lace ups, got really excited about these Adidas after watching your video about them. I owned these a few years ago in 16 oz. They were well made but the hand compartment was too small and cramped my hands like no other gloves I have worn. I couldn't work out in them. I wound up giving them to a smaller guy at my gym. Maybe Fairtex upgraded them and made the hand compartment larger and more comfortable. For reference I'm 6 ft tall and wear size large winter gloves - I don't have heavyweight mitts. Btw the padding is nothing like Cleto Reyes. My BGV9s had very hard padding (like cement) while the Cletos have much softer padding which gives great feedback. I much prefer the Cletos.

Very durable well made quality gloves at a great price. Good for Ppl that want the benefits of a expensive top end glove at a lower price point. Stitching is beautifully done Imo. Bargain definitely & the 3 payment plan is a bonus. Great review brother!

I watched your review of these gloves and bought them 4 months ago for $71. I use them every day, 5-6 times a week. They're good training gloves for a reasonable price. I'm considering Adispeed 501 ($281), custom Top boxer Alien($149) or Cleto Reyes ($382) for training gloves, and a set of Fly Superlace X ($240) or Phenom SG-210 ($228) for sparring. Those are their prices including shipping and import fees.

How is sizing? I tested a 16 oz but when tightening the velcro the inner flaps where crossing since I have skinny forearms. 14 oz is smaller or it's just the padding that is lighter? Otherwise I would have to wear extra wraps more down my arm to fill up the gap or something.

I found the hand compartment to be much larger than my Sabas gloves, also i did not like the padding. I found the padding to be "squishy" compared to Sabas. They are very well constructed, and I really wanted to like them, but in the end I prefer the more compact and firm Sabas gloves. FWIW

Are these good for a relative beginner? Looking to get my first 'proper' pair of gloves for my amateur gym. Heard these well recommended by loads on the net - but i am concerned they are too hard for a beginner still learning how to punch the bag properly - my cheaper amazon set hurt my knuckles. My price bracket is just over £100. I had a look at your ratings which are very great for getting an idea, but they don't quite tell me what is good from a beginner point of view :) Ideally, I don't want to wait for a glove to me made and ship from Pakistan, although I could wait If you'd particularly say one is good for a beginner. All purpose, protective beginner glove of choice under £110 what is your pick please :)

I bought the all white ones in 12oz for bag use but they're compact so I probably should've got them in 14oz. At £100+ they are up against stiff competition but still great value...but at £70 they're a no-brainer. Look around and you'll be able to save a good deal...

I've heard a lot of conflicting information about the size of the hand compartment (some say it's roomy, others say it's quite small). I see that you're using 16oz gloves and you're much taller than I am. I'm 5'10" but overweight and am trying to stick to a lower weight glove for bag work. That's easy to explain. Latex is natural material. Sometime you get denser latex (heavier) sometimes you get softer (lighter) from the same size. Unlike eva foam, latex is inconsistent. And latex is heavier than EVA foam. Cleto reyes fight gloves version use foam and horse hair, that explains consistent weight. My 14oz cleto weigh around 16oz.
