dayum, it's no wonder they are both fantastic fighters, that's some intense training! making stamp start of defense against a bigger opponent, and find a way to transition to offense.

Some truly committed, hard working athletes there. A height difference like that can be a bear to deal with, especially when the taller opponent is skilled

Both are deadly to say the least! smillas hands are surprisingly heavy for a thin girl, some of her body shots during her intergender matches looked punishing!

Faced with a taller opponent, you have to fight in close combat and not at a distance

Maybe in just boxing, but in Muay Thai taller opponents have advantage close up as well. They can knee you in the body and head easily while you can barely get your knee to their body. Also they can just use their body weight to lean on you in the clinch. Boxing only though yeah its good to smother them

Geez, Smilla’s reach… As she gets older, she might have to move up in weight class, as her body matures, she’ll begin to gain some muscle mass - making her even more dangerous. Seveneen??? Really? wow.

Yup, i can’t see her being a strawweight for more than another year or so. She’s gonna get thicker as she hits her 20’s. Ok, the elephant in the room. One FC states Smilla is 173cm. No way, she’s no less than 175cm, more likely 177cm, if not taller. She towered over Deirdre Martin, who is 172cm. I think Smilla is prolly 5’9”

I think it’s a combo of her being exhausted from training camp and frustrated by the drill they are working on. She’s forced to deal with the taller longer fighter so it can get frustrating at times.
