This dynamic performance of Faith Evans featuring Timiney Figueroa singing "Calling My Name" in tribute to Hezekiah Walker at the BMI Luncheon honoring Walker and Kirk Franklin during Stellar Awards Weekend on January 13, 2012
I can feel God's presence in this song. I can see Faith returning back to the Creator and Lord of Jesus Christ. May God's blessing fall in her this day❤
Why do comments always become a battle of who's better?!?! Shame on some of you! Why can't you see Faith for being a great vocalist and having done this song justice? Both are great singers from the same region who are from the church. One just happened to gain opportunity in the R&B industry. Insinuating she sold out is rude. She STILL acknowledges God as head of her life and STILL sings gospel. Should it matter who you like better? I thoroughly enjoy Faith on this. Timiney was a great bonus.
This song always give me chills and tears because I know God still calls my name in spite of all the wrong we still do he stills forgives us CRYING!!!! As I COMMENT THANK YOU GOD FOR FORGIVING ME
I love Timiney but Faith made this sing her own. I am waiting on Faith to come on home with a gospel project. Faith brought the worship and she called Tinimey up and she added the conviction. Together they.complimented each other. This has been my favorite gospel song since 93!
One of my favorite gospel songs of all times, I can't believe I am just now hearing this live performance . Faith sounds great and Timiney voice gives me chills every time.♥️♥️♥️
D'Angelo L. Johnson and it's much more beautiful and more well-defined. She just seems a thousand times more comfortable singing in Spanish and it shines through almost each and every time that she does.
This is my song!!! Faith you did an awesome job, but it's just something about when timiney came out.....I'm overwhelmed right now!!! Excellent job faith and timiney!!!!! Couldn't ask for a better performance!!!
Faith has an amazing voice and even more evident humility. She has no problem letting more powerful, more gifted vocalists shine (e.g. B. Slade). As a result, she will get more shine and more accolades. Blessings to her and Timiney.
I agree with her humility... but you're definitely wrong about the MORE Gifted and MORE Powerful..... Faith is Gifted and Powerful in her OWN right and definitely second to none...
Faith killed this and one of the best singers of her generation. JUST as gifted, IF NOT BETTER. I think she's a far more colorful singer than Tammy- nothing against her.
Her NAME is PASTOR TIMINEY, NOT tammy! During certain times of worship, COLORFUL is NOT a FACTOR! God is NOT IMPRESSED with COLORFUL! No debating of My Opinion! Peace.
Agreed!! So elementary to think a point can be made by with hateful remarks toward someone who's down a great job in this video -- and to think others would agree... Faith's career began professionally in 93 as a writer, arranger, backup singer, etc. Her solo debut was in 1995. Timiney is great and Faith is great. Respect it! Please!
i think That person's speakin from a preferencial stand point . I love Faith and in my book she is a better singer than EVERYBODY b/c i know and love her so much and b/c she's so much more versatile than most. But i know that there are some that can outsing her. I'll never admit it tho cuz she's my fave. lol
@kblack177 So you're just going to read my mind like that?! LOL!! Yea Faith has unlimited potential and she is OFTEN overlooked but she can hang with the best of them!! She gave an interview before she went on saying how nervous she was and you could tell. HOWEVER she still blazed despite her nerves. She is on that just has to get into it and her best always comes out. She's definitely a gospel singer at heart you can still hear it all in her voice!
I love Faith's voice its sweet she should do a gospel cd when she feels comfortable in time. I love this tribute she is just singing from the heart in her own way. I love how you can hear her rendition and she is not a copy of the original soloist. She did a great job! Timiney is awesome as always and this song was made for her voice.
Wow, now they need to record this one more-gain live together. Watching this makes me wonder what Karen Clark Sheard and Melinda Doolittle would sound like together. It's good to see believers reaching out to celebrity artist. I know Faith could sing about God all day.
Yassssssssssssss sangggggggggg Faith and Timiney. Truly anointed. Hallelujah. Lord thank you for continuously calling my name, when I don't do as I should. Thank you for your grace.
Ok so im @ the computer crying with my right hand lifted up, this was just too much, what power and annointing! God bless Faith and Timiney! Very classy of Faith to call her up as well!
👑. "I know I don't belong with you because I've done wrong".. but still I hear you God, I still feel you. 🙌 ❤️ Lord help your people, please. Forgive GOD. Forgive. Please. Amen
If Faith is reading this... God want to see you saved and recording gospel. God gifted you with such a beautiful voice. That voice is to sing under the anointing and giving Him the praise. Your recording is being used by satan himself. I pray that you return and become fully committed to the Creator who is the only wise God❤
So this morning at 9 05am, I could not let go of this song. I think of the Prodigal Son and a loving Father, and the fatted calf. Thank You Father for calling my name..
OMG! No words! I'm a Faith fan, Timoney and Kurt Carr's fan, plus Donald Lawrence singers on bv's whom I'm also a fan. Too much for me too handle right now... I always thought Ti was a reserved girl but let me tell you, she really blessed me there, she did!. One can tell the difference between a secular recording artist and a gospel act, Ti was in her element. However she should have hugged Faith and not walked off the way she did. Beautiful ministry overhaul..
Dual971 love your comment but if you know about God's anointing, Timiney was being used by God all the way off the stage. This was not a secular performance. It was an invitation to Christ. Although they had a time limit, God got in what He needed to from the first seconds to the last seconds. Minister now, Hug later.
