I cry everytime I watch this video. Faith Hill takes this song to a whole new level. This same baby transformed my entire life. Amen! Many blessings this Christmas season!
The year I heard this on the radio, I knew I wanted to sing it in my church that Christmas. Some of them had never heard the words and were a bit shocked at the take on Mary, but it was real. SO real. I married at 17, had my son at 18. I was older than Mary and had all the conveniences of the modern world and the support of two families, and I struggled. Mary's faith and courage are astounding. This is one of the most honest Christmas songs I have ever heard. Thank you Reverend Wiseman for the line that spurred the song, and thank you Faith Hill for your powerful, expressive version of it.
A baby changed everything for me, and my life too. I am far better a person than I ever was before my son was born, so even though this song is about JESUS, I can relate too. (My whole life turned around, I was lost but now I am found) Her masterful singing of this song brings tears to my eyes every time. For JESUS and for my own children. Thanks GOD for all your infinite blessings in my life. AMEN!!
I first heard this song, a few years back. It was on the radio but it was right after Thanksgiving and didn’t register with me, until about halfway through that it was, indeed, a Christmas song. I was stunned by the brilliance of the lyrics and how cleverly it pulls you into a story you’ve heard a thousand times, but told from a new perspective. I haven’t heard it on the radio recently but I come back here to listen again, every year. Merry Christmas, happy holidays to all who return here each year to have your spirit lifted, once again.
A powerful voice I love Faith Hill this song was written for her...the whole arrangement is just superb...it brings tears to my eyes when I listen to this song...ever so meaningful.
Many blessings to you as well. i could not imagine. As I said, i love my son more than anything and I am grateful beyond comprehension for his presence in my life. The things we had, we sold or ran into huge debt paying for all of his therpaies and medical bills. We don't need presents, just love and healing for my son. And i wish you all the best:)
The very first time I heard this song was the same morning I gave birth to my son. I cry eveytime I hear this song.....my baby boy was stillborn!!!! A baby does change Everything....alive or already with god!!! I LOVE AND MISS YOU DEVIN JAMES - RIP
Hallelujah! Jesus Christ changes everyone’s life! Glory to God in the Highest, Peace and Goodwill To All Mankind! I was lost but now I’m found! Thank you, for my Savior Jesus Christ!❤
Great to know that some people still realize the purpose of Christmas! I love to be reminded of His birth and how He died for us so that we can live FOREVER with Him! Thank you Jesus!
It is so simple but we complicate things. A baby changed everything and yet we make it about us and not about the saviour of the world. It's like cooking a feast for a few friends and they thanking the garbage men for taking away the rubbish. Love this song and love her voice.
I love how you start out thinking its about an unwed mom.. and then its the greatest story ever told ..:D This song= me on my first christmas away from the FLDS.. a baby changes EVERYTHING.
Faith today is the first time that I have listened to you music but I must say you are one of kind... if one day me and my girlfriend marry and get a baby girl; I will name her after you... luv u God Be With You.
This song touches me on so many levels....Christ is King and the center of our Christmas season...but also children all over the world need to be respected as creations of God...born and pre born...God Bless ALL his babies!
this song will always hold a special place in my heart. Last yr our choir was singing this. My pregnant daughter who was in a abusive relationship and contemplating abortion was sobbing on my shoulder. One yr. and lots of prayers later, Krista has a beautiful 4 mo. old daughter; is OUT of the abusive relationship; and has a place of her own. @Rainbow...that's MY favorite line too! I was a MESS till I was saved in '07
I just saw this song for the first time. I cried all the way through it. What a wonderful voice! Praise the Lord. A baby changes everything and makes everything alright! God bless, Love Barbara.
She is such a special person. Born of a single mother, adopted and advocating for the adopted by singing about the single mother of a King. So close to her true self. It is no wonder she was the only white women to be asked by Ms. Franklin to sing at her funeral, Ms. Franklin a victim of child rape who had the wherewithal and the grace to raise and love her child. Women go through so much and still rise.
I love it!! I have the CD that she sang this on. It's awesome Merry Christmas everyone! It really makes you think - a BABY saved us. How wonderful is that???
I cry every time I hear this song by Faith Hill. She has a sheer natural voice and talent. So beautifully powerful and she knows how to control it effortlessly. You can hear the truly tender sentiment in the way she sings her songs. Amazing and really angelic!!!! I love it!
how could anyone dislike this song...please check your faith (spiritually speaking) listen to these lyrics and recognize the prayer that is going up...
What a beautiful and true song! She is such a true blessing. She is breathtakingly beautiful, and from everything I've read about her she is as beautiful inside as she is outside, and that's amazing. A true gift from God. That Tim McGraw is one lucky man.
A young lady at my church with a stunning voice sang this Sunday, and I have to say, it made me realize how lowly this baby came into our world to save us. A BABY saved us. How awesome is that?
I've returned in 2020 🎄 I think we all need a little of this right now! Merry Christmas to All! And may God Bless each of you, your family, and loved ones!
I will always remember the first time I heard this beautiful song. Faith on PBS special Joy To The World, the minute she began to sing I could not stop crying. It still makes me cry with it's truth and beauty.
I sang this for my church production and have it on my profile. This is a wonderful song. Faith Hill is amazing. My first concert ever when I was 7. She let all the kids come on stage and sing one at a time into the microphone. Spartanburg Memorial Auditiorium. I learned so much from watching her that night. I'll never forget how giving she is with her audience.
only Faith can make a grown man choke up.. so frickin awsome live..what a voice.. Faith unlike so many "studio" artists..when you come to Tempe you can bet i'll be there in the audience babydoll
for more than a year my famly have waited for my grandbaby girl to come home from the hospital and for christmas we fnaly got the news that our baby granddaughter is coming home, god has given us the best gift and that was his son and now we get to have our beloved family together.
Wow. So this song was out the year I gave birth to my firstborn child. She was right there with me tucked under the lace and bouquet at the wedding. I was also a fairly new Christian at the time. This song will always be one of my all time favorite gospel songs. If you don’t ugly cry with this one, your busted.
I found this song. Few years back and have loved it from the first time I heard it and just looked it up yesterday beautiful Christmas song and makes this man tear up every time
I'm in my church choir, we are singing this song in oru Christmas program. I heard and sang it for the first time tonight in choir practice. All I've got to say is Wow, this song is Powerful! I'm looking forward to see how the Holy Spirit moves among the congregation when we sing it in the program!
+Wilson He I was just thinking that same thing. People in reason times have seemingly forgotten about Faith. So many new voices have emerged since she came on the scene (i.e. Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift etc.) And she has kinda faded to the background.
Every time i hear this song i always cry. This is a song i like to hear everyday. The is the best chistmas song ever. I love Faith Hill. Jeuse change my life. He Change My Life.
This song means so much to me. I am only 13 years old, but i know a lot. My cousin has had a baby in the last year. She changed her whole perspective of life. A baby does change everything, so think before you act.
I heard this song for the first time tonight while watching the "Faith Hill: Joy to the World" Christmas concert. It was marvelously sung and one of her BEST performances! Also, this song is a timely relation for my family in that we're currently celebrating the Dec. 10th birth of the first great-grandson, and needless to say everyone's OVERJOYED!! The family's second great-grandchild - what a awesome blessing from God!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Everyone!! : )
So let's get this straight. This song is so beautiful. I love it. People have said they don't know why songs paint Mary as lowly and soft. In fact she was miraculously courageous. She accepted without doubt what God had appointed her to do. How many of us can do that? How many if us have done that? As Christians we don't pray to Mary. She is not God. She doesn't save anyone. But we should thank God for her. Just a child really when she fave birth. And yet strong in the Lord.
I get your point and agree the song is beautiful. However, being lowly and soft is not mutualpy exclusive yo being also strong and courageous. Believing whole heartedly in our God and believing in the task he gave her and all things to follow definitely doesn't make her job/journey any less daunghting.
Having a baby is the greatest gift from god and its not until u have a baby that u truly live I have a 3 yr old son and I thank god every single second of everyday for choosing me to give him life its the greatest miracle being able to be a mommy kai Edward Destefano mommy loves u more then u will ever know thanks for coming into my life sweetheart u are my everything
this song has touched so many people, even her husband Tim,he said he cried each time he heard her sing this. he is a very sensitive man. but he has a point it is a very sensitive song and very truthful. A BABY HAS CHANGED EVERYTHING AND CONTINUES TO
Nobody but nobody delivers this song like Faith does. This is song and Mary Did You Know are two very powerful songs. If you have not heard Mark Lowery sing Mary Did You Know you need to listen to this wonderful song.
yes faith a baby does changes every thing i love my 2 kids with all my heart and soul i had 3 babys one of my babys was still born a baby is a gift from god but i do know this my baby he is in heaven in gods arms waitng for me
