No good start the dance by the Prodigy was always my favourite dance tune. Insomnia was in my top 3 dance tunes of all time. Lost soooooo many nights dancing my backside off to this absolute BANGER of a tune!! Beat drop is just too Sic! R.I.P. Maxi Jazz Absolute legend x
This is one song that always helped put me to sleep when my PTSD was really bad, I would play the album Reverence really low so it was just background noise & I would always be asleep before Insomnia finished!
Sister Bliss is a world renowned Dj and musician in her own right. She often performs as Faithless as a Dj only set and performs solo under her own name too along with writing a large amount of the rifts and music. Don’t get me wrong the whole band are incredible but Sister Bliss is an insane artist.
The anthem of my generation, was at that last concert, and sweat was dripping from the walls, and the atmosphere was electric....sister bliss is a legend
Glad you reacted to masterpiece, you have heard this tune if you have ever gone to a night club. This was one of the biggest hits in the 90s, this live version is remixed so much it might be hard to match it with the original I highly recommend watching the original music video, that one is amazing as well and very iconic. I don’t think that tune has been sampled by others, at least in the mainstream, since it is so iconic to this song, but this one is still widely considered as one of the greatest dance songs of all time, so I bet you have actually heard this song Ps. They just released 4k official video of the original music video few weeks ago
Hypnotic dance song. Connection with audience is very cool and moving in this clip. They are in trance together and they are loving it. Music is one of the good things we as humans has created and music connect people all around the world in a good way. Love your reactions, love your Chanel, it makes me smile every time.
There are a couple of points, but first of all a big hug to all the people in Belgium and Germany (and the Ned and Lux) - I remember stopping, during the many times we drove up and down Europe to and from Italy and England, and we always ended up in wonderful places like Köln, Trier, Koblenz, etc. etc. - It was the sixties, Kraftwerk hadn't yet written Autobahn nor Trans Europe Express … OK - That said, 'Insomnia' (and Faithless in general) was one of the very few things of the late 90s and early 20s that I really liked - in a very dark place musically … and mentally ! I feel there has been very little mention of the fact that, when everything was electronic, sampled, vocoded, quantified and perfected by programmable machines (= no feeling, no soul, no emotion), this band was playing the very same music, but 100% LIVE !!! And also a special mention should go to the fantastic keybordist (and mind) : Sister Bliss She did a really great interview explaining The Story Of Faithless' 'Insomnia' | The Making Of A Dance Anthem ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CBxYEGLckvQ.html Apart from this one (practically home crowd !), there are many other great versions out there, one better than the other : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_p2hYv4psmY.html Faithless Insomnia (WDR Silvesterparty 1996/1997) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MGU5BJWCsSk.html Faithless - Insomnia (Pinkpop 1998) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uUaC5IRoOEE.html Faithless - Insomnia (Live @ MTV Ibiza 1999) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ugeqaz3bhGE.html Faithless - Insomnia (Glastonbury 2002) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DYAYmi76qVY.html Faithless - Insomnia (Alexandra Palace 2005)
Well HXC you did it again. great reaction yes there music has been sampled just like music from 80s. Luckily we have people like yourself reacting to real music & amazing song writers. Nice one

This came out in 1997 and was a massive dance tune . It has ALWAYS been Faithless tune and it is remixed now still by other artists . This is my clubbing days and I still get chills when it plays .
I hope by now that 90 % of their music was written and performed by the Pianist as you so succinctly put. Maxi Jazz was a great poet and front man but she was the engine and the captain all along
Faithless is a British electronic band formed in London, England in 1994 by Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss and Rollo. The group is best known for the songs "Salva Mea", "Insomnia", "God Is a DJ" and "We Come 1"
Aaahh man this is just *such* a classic tune, only good memories to this.. No wonder you’ve heard it before somewhere - it used to be literally everywhere!
Close. Dido is the younger sister of Rollo Armstrong, another founding member of Faithless. The keyboard player is named Sister Bliss, though, so that's something ;)
Please have a look and listen to Ultrasonic at the best dance party’s of the 90s. Massive crowds every weekend. It’s called the Reserection. Scottish banging tunes !!! No atmosphere like it. Aw best to ye.
