Nice reaction. Thank you. As others have said, it's an tribute to the song Kurenai by X-Japan Normally, in Japanese, red is written as 赤 紅 means red, which is particularly vivid among reds. AKATSUKI is my favorite song among Sue's solos. Thank you for the reaction.
The Japanese language is made up of hiragana and katakana, which are phonograms, and kanji, which are ideograms. Akatsuki usually means "dawn," but as RoadRunnner notes, here it is written as "紅月" which means crimson moon. At 16 years old, she has this presence!
Akatsuki @ Nippon Budokan:- This is one of 4 Su-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) solo songs. The other 3 are:- 1. "Amore" (Wembley Arena). 2. "No Rain No Rainbow" (Legend A Baptism XX). 3. "Rondo Of Nightmare with Mischief Of Gods" (Budokan Black Night). Su-Metal have a powerful voice to penetrate the heavy musical instrument and still sound so clear. You should listen to X Japan "Kurenai", a legendary band from Japan 🇯🇵 which Babymetal get a lot of their inspiration from. There is a slow version of Akatsuki, the Unfinished version perform at Legend 1997 Apocalypse concert same venue as Headbanger. Akatsuki is just Crimsion Moon, but the original kanji for Akatsuki is the one you see in Naruto (暁). The original meaning is the time when night fall ends, or dawn. But there is a double meaning of "The time you waited after your dreams/wishes came true" . If you listen to the lyrics both crimson moon and akatsuki play a role in the song Akatsuki. Benitsuki -Akatsuki Information:- Kanji Title: 紅月-アカツキ. Romanji Title: Benitsuki -Akatsuki English Title : Crimson Moon -Dawn. Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, its name translates as Martial Arts Hall in English. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues. A number of famous rock music acts have played at Budokan. The Beatles were the first rock group to play there in a series of concerts held between June 30 and July 2, 1966. ABBA ended their last tour there. Their final show on March 27, 1980, was the last live concert ABBA performed together. Numerous acts have recorded live albums at Budokan, including Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater, Duran Duran, Kiss, Mr. Big, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple. LYRICS OVERVIEW:- Crimson Moon Going over thousands nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. Shining in the depths of the eyes, the moon is about to cry. Red tears overflow and dye the night sky. In the silence, the two damaged blades stand face to face. Our loneliness and our uneasiness slash even our hearts. Going over thousands nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. In the passage of time, I keep my eyes shut. Even if the red thread flowing in my hand breaks, I still feel we are tied. In the silence, I hold the damaged blade face to face. My loneliness and my uneasiness, I slash, even my heart, now. Going over thousands nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears someday... Going over thousands nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. Dye crimson! Dye bloody crimson! One of the best twin guitar solo from Takayoshi Ohmura and Shinji Yuuto aka Leda Cygnus. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult.
Akatsuki versi 2021 lebih mantap sih dari audionya, vokalnya Su juga. Sayangnya gak ditaro di Spotify sama BABYMETAL. Tapi Akatsuki versi lama punya kesan tersendiri, saya juga masih dengerin yang versi lama 🤘
⚡ / 🔴 🌙 A Su-metal classic. 'Akatuski' was her first solo song with BABYMETAL. It was released on the 'Megitsune' single in June of 2013. It's kind of hard to imagine the genius of BABYMETAL producer Koba. He became aware of Suzuka Nakamoto in the Amuse Inc. Kid's division, when she was 11 years old. At that time, she was the youngest member of Karen Girl's, a JPop trio. He decided she should be the lead in a metal group, so he built one around her. At the time of this Budokan performance, she was 16. That was Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura with the guitar duet. BOH was on bass, and Hideki Aoyama on drums.
Nice reaction, thanks! "Akatsuki" (紅月 or ア カ ツ キ) is actually the contraction of "akai + tsuki" (meaning "red moon" or more specifically, crimson moon) and it's clearly a tribute to the song "Kurenai" by X-Japan. The kanji "紅" can be also read as "kurenai" meaning "crimson red" (all credits to Du-Metal as usual). So, nothing related to Naruto, I guess. I really love this song. Actually, "Akatsuki" is my favorite song probably of all the times. And this performance is also my favorite for many, many reasons. There are probably better technically but this is special to me. I'm totally into power metal and love the guitar solos like this first dueling and then harmonizing. And of course, the incredibly clear and powerful vocals of Su... she really nails it! Don't worry, we love "Onedari Daisakusen" as well. And about BOH's bass thing, we are here to learn! 😁 Until next time!
uhhh...really, Japanese is hard. that's why I choose Indonesian, no other meaning in words. but really, I thought this "Akatsuki" song was related to "Naruto", but it's not. This could one of my favorite songs too.
Good reaction. As already said below, this song pays homage to X Japan and their song 'Kurenai'. You still have a lot more BABYMETAL songs to discover - Su-metal has two more solos songs I don't think you have heard yet - 'Amore' which is another power metal song and 'No Rain, No Rainbow' which is a rock ballad (as well as some early cover songs that she sang only once) and more 'Black BABYMETAL songs with just Yui and Moa ... and then a whole lot more with all three (or with Su and Moa since Yui left).
it's coined word. but almost Japanese can read it without realizing about it's coined word, but actually coined word and is not common, it's an idiom by native Japanese word + native Japanese word. * Naruto one is 暁(dawn) * Babymetal one is 紅月(crimson or deep red moon)
Thanks for a good short easy to understand explanation. Kanji is hard, but beautiful. One word can have more than one meaning depends on how it's wrote in Kanji.
